Reagan, that “tired old man that we elected king” turned plowshares into swords. And then somehow peacefully ended the Cold War and the Iron Curtain.
Bat-crazy Trump was going to get us into WWIII, but then NK stopped launching missiles and he brokered peace agreements in the Middle East. Which is insane since we moved our Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem and you know that will start Armageddon.
Now this dumb s##t and his war-profiteers want to get it on with Russia and China. Everything’s fine.

You are confusing the establishment wing of the republican party with real Republicans and conservatives.

All we need to do is stop buying anything made in China. I know the price of goods will go up but China will collapse without our commerce. I realize some things like chips will continue to be bought from China but we can eventually wean our self off and start our own manufacturing. However, our government has decided to give people money to stay at home and not work so it will be difficult to find enough quality workers.

I would say no.
I am concerned with the current administration's obsession with some things (war on climate change, domestic red state terrorist, spending more and more money, pushing agendas) and indifference to more concerning things (border security, balloons, pushing more and more weapons at Ukraine). I don't know...the word FECKLESS comes to mind.
I don't trust China, an invasion of Tiawan could happen any day. China is not our friend. They think they will win, reminds me of Japan Pre WW2.
Russia is not our friend, although, I'm hoping for some top generals to coup. I think it could happen. This spring in Ukraine will be interesting/terrifying/horrible but, maybe just maybe, there could be a swift end to it for the good guys.

With whom?
We aren't at war with China so why do we need peace talks? We had diplomatic meetings that we cancelled at the time of the balloon incident.
If you mean Russia-Ukraine, Russia will hold peace talks if Ukraine allows them to keep annexed territory. Ukraine doesn't want that and they have had their country destroyed. This will continue.

They set the Doomsday Clock to 90 seconds to midnight a few weeks ago.
You may have seen a report on this recently. I suppose you think that because it comes from the Board of Atomic Scientists (actually, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists’ Science and Security Board with the support of the Bulletin’s Board of Sponsors), that it represents the threat of nuclear conflagration?
But did you know that in 2007, the Board added "climate crisis" to their scorecard? And that they also recently (perhaps with good reason) added "bio-threat" to the score card?
And not to be left out, they also recently decided to include "Disinformation and Disruptive Technology" on the card.
