Remedies to a B- Offensive line performance

Sep 5, 2021, 10:14 PM

And a D- Quarterback performance .

The hurry up offense we used to run with DeShawn helps a lot. When the opposing teams defense is the best in the country the no huddle offense is a great equalizer. Why don't we use it anymore?

Any suggestions on what other things the coaches can do in the play calling to help the offense?

I’m sorry, did you say B-minus for our offensive line?

You’re a VERY generous grader!!

I give them a D-minus at best last night.

Seven QB sacks, 2 yards rushing, and zero TDs. That’s pathetic.

I absolutely agree with you about tempo though. It’s a shame we don’t go fast anymore. That, plus awful play calls (Elliott gets an F) gives us no chance against good teams.

Yeah, I agree. Hurry up offense against a defense wears them down and not able to call defensive plays in time. That is what Ohio St. did to us.

described the offensive lines performance as pathetic. Pathetic offensive line performances is what Clemson fans have come to expect against quality opponents. Exactly how could a different offensive coordinator going to be successful dealing with the same pathetic performance from the offensive line?

Shocked but I agree with Judge on this one! D- at best.

Our offense was intimidated from the start. No jet sweeps no misdirection no draws no counters no moving the pocket no qb draws we didn’t even have our best personelle in the game.

Definitely. The tempo game is completely gone from the offense. Especially in big games.

We knew they had big d linemen. So try to wear them out by going fast. Change tempo to try to run the ball. It is not rocket science Tony.

The coaches seemed to be resigned to the fact that this was going to be a defensive slugfest and we’re conservative on offense.

Mind you I thought the decision not to punt late in the game with 5 minutes left was a huge mistake with the way the defense was playing.

The offensive line has been the weak link for years. It was really exposed this time. The one constant of the offensive line is Robbi Caldwell. Time for him to go.
