Recruits leaving recently

Jan 7, 2013, 7:52 PM

Is it just me or after every recruit we lose does he seem to end up having sec teams as his top school or ends up heading to the sec. Out of all the guys we have lost it seems as if that's where their heading. Did they not watch the LSU game I did and we looked pretty d*mn good. Point is i know that SEC recently has been better at football but why don't players wont to come to go to a school where immediately you can compete for a spot in the lineup. SEC teams got players lined up at every position. And its much harder to compete for a spot.

They're also using Morris's future departure against us

They're telling our offensive players that Chad won't be here soon and that they won't be playing for his offense. They tell our defensive players that playing in the SEC is better and they'll get more exposure and blah blah blah. This is the reason I'm cheering for ND, VERY reluctantly. We need to break up some of that "SEC is superior" mindsets.

If that ploy works...

the recruit is not very smart.

The coaching position in college football is very fluid everywhere.

They need to know that Ole Miss is not a final job for any coach. If Freeze succeeds, then he's off to another school, maybe out of the SEC like Texas.

A lot of these kids are making decisions based solely on when they believe they will get playing time. They want to be on the field as soon as possible. LSU has at least 8 juniors that have declared for the NFL draft. These kids want to play NOW, instead of learning the system, getting stronger and smarter before their time.

YES , they are. but fellas, we're competing against

those SEC teams for these players. I think that's what missing around here, when you're competing with these schools for recruits, you lose some. When we get back to competing with the rest of the ACC besides FS and losing , worry.
