Recruiting

Apr 28, 2014, 10:29 AM

These should be our top remaining targets in my opinion.
I put the SC guys at the top because we need those positions and we don't want them at USCoot.

A. Huggins
Z. Bailey
M. Barnett

At least 2 or more of: S. Tuttle, T. Thompson, T. Settle, DJ Jones
At least 2 or more of: D. Roseboro, C. Wilkins, N. Patrick, J. Sweat
G. Williams
R. Roundtree
R. Smith or J. Simmons or Rick DeBerry
Any (one) of the dozen receiver offers
T. Griffin or Eric Swinney or Bryce Love

I don't even think we need to take a RB in this class. I would rather take 2 WRs than 1 RB and 1 WR. We have no seniors except Howard at RB and we are young and loaded.

Any chance we are still in the running for or

interested in Kamara after his JC year this year?

It would be great to pick up an experienced RB if we have something unexpected happen this year, say with Dye or even one of the smaller backs.

It never hurts to get at least one more any season.

If by any one of the 12 you mean George Campbell then yes

Re: Recruiting

Im actually not sure who I like the most. Im probably leaning more towards Dakota Lodge or Deon Cain. I like Campbell but I want to see how he does this year before I get on his bandwagon. His hands are highly questionable for a 5 star prospect. Its hardest to teach ball skills and hands.

Its also hard to teach 4.34 in the 40 at 6ft 3

Doesnt matter if he drops it, ill take a 4.5 6'1 guy like Nuk every time over that, besides he isnt 4.3, numbers arent that accurate in high school, he is probably a solid 4.4 though

Thompson to UGA, Huggins to Clemson.***

Wonder what happens to these elite linemen that see the 4-3 senior laden tigers whip the newly 3-4 puppies.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

In all honesty,

Winning or losing has very little bearing. More likely, if a player starts rooting for one team over the other during the game than that player signs with the team he's rooting for.

You gotta get these kids to fall in love with the school and then the rest takes care of itself.

Most importantly, where do ESPN and Rivals rank these

Apr 28, 2014, 8:53 PM

guys?

If not in the Top 300 in both rankings, we need to back off.

I agree with bob, it would be helpful if you would

Apr 29, 2014, 8:05 AM

also list their national rankings so that I, along with our coaching staff, will know whether or not we should go after them.

bob and GWP are dead on. It really makes no sense for our staff to spend valuable time

Apr 29, 2014, 8:32 AM

evaluating talent. There are multiple services that do that for you for free. Our coaches should use that time to concentrate on "on campus housing" issues and drawing up "trick plays". I don't know that strength and conditioning is salvageable at this point, so we'll rested players with finesse based, deception type plays could work.

College football is evolving, our staff needs to evolve with it if we want to win championships.

rankings are. As soon as these 4-5* guys get on campus they'll see how bad our S&C program is and transfer to a JuCO.

I think our best bet is to go after 3* guys like Spencer Shuey and Adam Humphries

Hump was a 2* what a steal. Good thing we got him instead of him going to SC state.

If he had gone to SC State we would've beaten

the coots last year. I'm sorry, but it's true.

Do you have access to who SC State is going after recruiting wise so we can make those kids a prime target and stop wasting our time with these other players we'll never get?
