recruiting (george campbell)

Jan 28, 2015, 3:21 PM

Dont get me wrong, i really wish we would have landed George Campbell and he didnt run to the money, but i just do not understand how or why is is ranked above deon cain in the final rankings. From everything ive heard, campbell is a hellova athlete, but is still very raw and doesnt have very good hands for a WR, which he is expected to play in college. On the other hand, every reporter or analyst has done nothing but praise Cain for is size, catching abilities, routes, etc. I just dont really get it. is it because Cain played QB in high school and only played WR at combines and such? Or is it because he commited to Clemson and he got snubbed for that?

Thoughts?

He had a great week at the UA game.

He got bumped after that showing. He's going to be a stud.

than in the UA game and they don't wanna go that far out on a limb. Just my opinion.

Campbell..when he's interested...is a stud

Jan 28, 2015, 3:32 PM

The problem has been getting him primed and interested enough to play. One of the 7-on-7 coaches down that way that had both Campbell and Cain said Cain just goes after it harder and puts out max effort all the time while Campbell (kind of like a Clowney) takes plays off and decides when he wants to perform. It will be interesting to see his work ethic in college

That sounds like Campbell equals Clown boy. We will be better off without him if that's the case.

I feel the same way about the mods in here, effort has been lacking.

At this stage you can't teach a strong work ethic....

It's something that is instilled in you and developed from a very young age. You either have it or you don't.

something to do, I guarantee you.

Perhaps but....

Jan 28, 2015, 5:35 PM

there are also PLENTY of kids from affluent families who have very poor work ethics.

Upside

Jan 28, 2015, 3:52 PM

Campbell is 6'4-6'5 and runs a legit 4.3. Could be better than Martavis when he's done in Tally.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If he's Clowney-esque with his work ethic, FSU can have him.***

Here is all you need to know!!!

Jan 28, 2015, 5:57 PM

Both of these guys are phenomenal athletes for sure! Both are studs! Both will be very very good.

***Here is my thing.... And it's important

Deon Cain is "ALL IN" for CLEMSON and that should be all that matters to Clemson fans!! As for George? HIS loss. Not Clemsons'

Go Tigers!!!!!
