Really hoping we continue to have two DL coaches

I think that's the thing that has made us special the last few years. Most teams have only one coach that handles both the DTs and DEs. By having two coaches, I think they were able to get more individualized attention, which sped up their development, especially with the young guys. Really hope Dabo keeps that practice in place.

Not gonna happen. We have two secondary coaches now. Only room for one DL coach.

If that's the case our secondary will improve, but our DL will suffer.

That's the 1 position I'm least worried about. Those freaks could go out there without a coach and wreak havoc. 1 DL coach will be enough. Our DBs need some work tho.

I agree that's it our most talented position. But I also feel it helped having a 6:1 player/coach ratio as opposed to what it appears will be 14:1 now.

DT is by far the easiest position to play.

DE is more difficult, but still not as bad as OLB, DB or S. That is why you see so many freshmen able to contribute at DL instead of anywhere else. 1 really good DL coach will be able to handle them. And then BV can put in some extra help with the DEs.
Plus, we have some extremely intelligent and experienced players at DT and DE. Who would you trust leading a unit more than Christian?

Well, you can only have 10 coaches. Only so much attention to spread around.

More than likely the NCAA is going to allow the addition of a 10th coach in spring time and we can move Lemansky Hall to DT coach; meaning 2 coaches on DL again.

Hope you are right and we can have 2 DL and 2 DB coaches. Somebody needs to help them to turn around and spot the ball.
