I really don’t like this situation for the championship

Jan 1, 2022, 12:34 PM

So if Georgia wins then they are deemed the best in the land, but in truth these two teams split games about a month apart in time.

Obviously if Alabama wins then there is no question that they are the best, but I don’t think it’s logical to say if you win this second game to a team you lost to very recently that you are ultimately the better team.

I know this can also happen in conference title games like with Notre Dame last year.

The other frustrating part of the championship game is that it continues the SEC narrative of domination, and with Texas and Oklahoma joining the SEC, ESPN has immediately gathered in millions of football fans who will

Continuing on…

Chant the SEC theme. It’s very annoying. If not for Clemson the SEC probably has the championship for eight straight years.

Ohio State won the first playoff era championship.

I really don’t care who wins the game.

I’m sick of the SEC best crap, but they are the two best teams this year. Hey, maybe they can split the trophy if UGA wins….I really don’t care.

The system has the same rules every year. The best team on January 10 wears the new caps and shirts.

Congrats. The most idiotic post of the New Year.

SEC is the best league. Get over it. Clemson's president, and bot should be working to get Clemson into the SEC. It's all about the money whether you like it or not. Clemson with SEC money and the automatic backing of the national pundits would go a long way in recruiting. We'd get more biggies than lose. If you don't think that is true I can't help ya.

None of that stuff matters. Winner of this game is the champ like it or not.

Bama can lose and still claim it. Many of their claims from eons ago are much weaker that this one would be

You can claim what you want but the results can not be argued. Winner of the game is the only champ. End of discussion.

Traditionally in sports and lost in college football

Jan 1, 2022, 1:25 PM

Is the notion not of who’s best, but who is Champion. That’s what should matter.

And Champion is whoever wins the Championship game.

Well so far it’s only been Clemson
