Zamary Walton of Georgia Tech Said....

Jul 23, 2022, 9:53 PM

They've been getting better and better every year under Mr Donuts. Well, let's check this out.

2019- 3-9
2020- 3-7 (only lost 7 because two games were cancelled)
2021- 3-9

Hmm....that doesn't seem like they've improved.

They have improved somewhat offensively from 16.7 to 23.9 to 24 ppg. But they still stink. Defensively they've given up 32.4, 36.8, and 33.5 ppg. In other words, the D Walton plays on has stunk all three years.

They have a total of 8 starters coming back. Last year they had their longest losing streak (6) since 1994.

Jahmyr Gibbs, their best running back from last year transferred to 'Bammer. Gee. Wonder why?

The Oline has 37 career starts.

All three starters from last year's Dline are gone.

Their top tackler from last year is gone.

Only one starter from the DBs is back. Their entire DB unit had 1 interception last year. Yes...1!!

Their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th leading receivers from last year are gone.

Their kicker, punt and kickoff return guys are gone.

Jeff Sims is back at qb. Okay....

Do I have to go on? Better and better.

I like what Judge said yesterday. We are going to murder them. :)

Some folks call be nervous nellie because I always tend to focus on the negatives of our team and the positives for the other guy. And I never trash talk opponents because it creates bad karma and gives the other guys an edge they shouldn't have.

That said I suspect that in the GT game the coaches and the officials are going to agree to let the clock run without interruption in order to spare the Jackets injuries and additional humiliation.

Typically, I agree with you. But Mr Walton did say they are going to beat us and that they are getting better and better. If that isn't bulletin board material for the Tigers, I don't know what is.

Why exactly would the Tigers need bulletin board material vs the Jackets? I mean I could see vs Georgia or Bama or such but GT? Lets not look for fires when theres no smoke in sight. The kid wants to fire up his team, good for him. It was a while ago but Clemson had to talk themselves up before anyone started believing they were finally here a few years ago. Should he just come out and say "well, I just hope we aren't down by 50 before halftime"?

Sounds like he is trying to convince himself that they have a chance.

Addition by subtraction maybe?

Sometimes that might work for a few players on a team. But they are just losing so many guys. It's like they have to start all over. So far, Collins has not proven that he's up to the task. No matter, I think Clemson is much better.

Reminds me of when Gamecock WIll said the coots would be

His calculus course dealt in imaginary numbers. 1+1=3 to this guy.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Record doesn’t tell the whole story. Were they losing by 50

Jul 24, 2022, 11:32 AM

and more recently only by 3?
