He is not stupid. He is pumping up the ACC, Clemson, and especially Dabo. He is laying the foundation and inciting fans for Alabama to make a run at Dabo when Saban retires.
Dabo is smart enough to know, that while he started his trek at Alabama, the best view of Alabama is in the rear view mirror. Clemson is home, a forever home. There IS something special in these hills...

Bama would looove to get their elephant trunks all over Dabo if we ever found a way to not appreciate his work ethic, passion, etc.
Here's hoping he stays in Clemson until retirement and beats Bear Bryant/Saban's records in the process.

Finebaum, hats off to you sir. It takes a man of integrity to state honest opinions like that. Last season was a good season for the ACC, but we can't start pounding our chests or chanting just yet. We have to go out and prove that we have some of the premier talent, play and off field demeanor to show we're more than capable of a three-peat appearance or ACC championship or Division win or State championship etc. Spot the ball!
