You shouldn't be able to go to civil court

Mar 18, 2021, 8:34 PM

Without at least a police report for violent crimes.

Say the crime was true, any sort of DNA evidence is long gone and finding out the truth is going to have to come off of 2nd hand knowledge.

How in the heck can you literally say you got raped by a multi million dollar athlete and not even speak to the police?!?! Months after the fact!!!

She should have every right to go to the police now and make a report, but she shouldn't be able to file a civil suit against Watson until then.

It disgusts me (even if the crime is true) that the victims first concern was getting money before prosecution...

If Watson truly did those things, then he should have to face the consequences, but going straight for his wallet tells me there is something fishy.

There’s a difference in civil vs criminal

Sure there’s a difference.

But she is alleging that he committed a crime, so she wants compensation for a mouth-rape that is unprovable at this point.

My point is exactly this.

How does she have the right to sue for money for a criminal crime MONTHS after it happens without even filing a police report?

Civil court shouldn't be used as a way to bypass innocent until proven guilty.

This is exactly why this will go nowhere. There is no crime and there is no evidence to support a civil case. Any judge worth his salt will toss this immediately.
