This is getting really old. Since 2012, you guys have dominated this rivalry, with a brief respite in 2014 after DW was injured. Venables has his guys playing well every year against our offense. And it's not a magic elixir or scheme. It's just talent and execution, defeating blocks and making tackles.
It was 24-10, and could've easily been worse.
And the really sad thing is that it was so predictable. Clemson has better players, and it's not even close anymore.
Good luck against the rest of your schedule. We'll see you next year in Atlanta.

His blocking schemes aren't ending anyone's careers, or at least no more than any other scheme. Every team cut blocks. It's legal. And a cut block is not the same as a chop block. The only problem is that we're not good at blocking teams as talented as Clemson. I guess if they outlaw tackling below the belt, then you can have a conversation about cut blocking.

You seem okay, but obviously deluded about that chopblock nonsense. That's very near an assault and battery, which could be felony charges in the real world.

went for the lower legs. Pretty amazing that the "crack officiating crew" missed it... oh, wait! They also couldn't spot the ball correctly, didn't recognize defensive holding against receivers (except Clemson DBs on running plays!), and didn't know the difference in PI and offensive PI. The usual great officiating.

His career could be ending soon , as the GT HC . He's at a school that has a pretty solid football history and he doesn't really have them at a level where championships are attainable .
They probably should move on from CPJ , jist an opiniin of mine .

I agree that there's a ceiling with CPJ. He can have an occasional good season, such as 2014. But he's been mediocre for most of his tenure after Gailey's recruits moved on.

Brent Venables. He is just so good at coaching his defense to account for your offense. Yes he needs the athletes to pull it off, but even the best athletes without disciplined coaching are going to blow it against GT.

Yeah, I think Venables is the key. His defense is rock-solid. They're talented of course. But he's a good teacher/coach, too.

Y’all really need to explore diversifying that offensive scheme. If you play disciplined, assignment football; the triple option is very defendable & Brent has your card. Benson had a much better game than I imagined he would but 32 yards in the air on 13 attempts just isn’t going to win championships in this era.
All our best the rest of the season. Looking forward to the game in Atlanta next year, had a wonderful time last year.
