92% of house republicans voted against insulin price cap

Apr 1, 2022, 6:16 PM

Guess they want constituents to pull up their bootstraps even more.

Do a little more research on why, chief ??

I’ll help, the bill only helps people with insurance, not those without…

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That’s a weak excuse

Apr 1, 2022, 11:34 PM [ in reply to Do a little more research on why, chief ?? ]

So the party that won’t help people get insurance, is now trying to protect insulin prices for those without insurance? You’re also telling me Republicans won’t help anybody unless they figure out a magical plan that helps all?

I can only hope you’re drunk this Friday night.

Obamacare is the law of the land. Cheap insurance for everyone.

So, you admit obamacare is a failure? Cool.

price caps are awesone

Apr 1, 2022, 9:33 PM

They never lead to shortages. Maybe we can make them sell it for free

Jesus H Christ, so many things to unpack here

Apr 1, 2022, 9:53 PM

is this because supply side economics dictates that more people will be diagnosed with type 1 diabetes?

Dear tigerdave2® in hopes of helping you out (and at risk of triggering Tigerbalm1®), here is a case study about the consequences of price caps.

Link to article from the reactionary stone-age Chicago Tribune ... case study of price caps and why they don't work. (Nixon / Ford / J.Carter price caps on gasoline.)

no doubt more people will contract type one diabetes if we lower the cost. Why is this not happening in every other country where it sells for 1/8th the price?

Mexico's health care program must be far superior to the USA's.

And I'd had it wrong in recent years that the Mexicans were pouring into to the USA because they wanted to get better health care.

Now I understand that they want to coyote sex slaves and sell fentanyl into the USA.

Look for Mexico to build the wall to keep the USA's diabetics the H _ _ _ out of their health-care paradise.

Thanks for setting me straight!

changing the topic is not how you win an argument.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You realize insulin and oil are completely different, right?

Apr 1, 2022, 11:30 PM [ in reply to Re: 92% house republican against insulin $ cap: Chi Tribune ]

That might be the most nonsensical example to use in this instance. I can tell you haven’t studied economics or work in the pharmaceutical space.

I can tell that he did not read the article. But yeah, let's compare commodities to life-saving medications that have a fixed demand.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Haven’t read anything about this, but I’m 99.9% sure there is more
