Programs to the same standard? If our football program was in the same state as our Basketball and Baseball programs, people would be going Nuts and calling for Swinney's job! I am a former Football player and I am glad that our Football program is becoming nationally relevant again, but Should we not expect this of ALL of our athletic programs? To say you can't compare Football and Basketball, or especially Baseball, is a LOSER mentality and that's NOT Clemson University! We are first class all the way and should DEMAND excellence from ALL our programs and Coaches, or find someone who Will! Are you really ok with a sub .500 baseball team or a Basketball program that can't even make the NIT? If so, you need another school! I for one want to win EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME!!! Football, baseball, basketball, soccer, track, volleyball, swimming, or Chinese Checkers!!! I don't care, get somebody in here with a passion and ability to win and Get IT DONE!!!

You're going to fire him when the season just got started? I believe it would be a better idea to wait to the end of the season for those decisions. Plus Jack has earned that nod of respect b/c he's put his heart and soul into this program and we're not a rash/idiotic fan base/admin that just reacts to slumps in a season. JL is a good baseball coach, has his luck ran out in recruiting? Maybe but dumping him like a chump would be one of the dumbest moves especially if you're wanting to appeal to the next coaching candidate. Who wants to work for a place that treated their last guy like used garbage after 20 years of coaching at a school.
Think man stop reacting to bad news and think about the big picture.

don't think any one of us wants that either. He has done great things for Clemson and deserves all the respect for which he is entitled. At the end of the year, give him the opportunity to go out in style and let him make his retirement statement.....don't fire him but tell him that we can do this the easy way or we can do this the hard way but it is going to get done. This is just the way I'd handle it but then again I have no pressure on me....lol.
