You find someone dumber than they are and trade these picks for multiple picks a little later in the draft and fill some of the many wholes those team has before drafting another skill player. Besides that they did Deshaun Watson a favor by passing on him.

I think they passed twice before he was drafted. Used to be a Browns fan but this ownership is a joke. Zero management. They deserve all the scorn they get

I think it was just once with the Myles Garrett pick, the other first round pick was Jabril Peppers and he was in the 20's, wanna say 22nd. But both picks are looking pretty good

At first, I was going to say get the 2 best OLs, but looking at their stats from last year, the Browns had more rushing yards and higher yards per rush than their opponents. They did, however, allow the sixth highest sack count and led the lead in QB hits allowed. I also thought about focusing on defense, but one less field goal a game and they are roughly average in points allowed. So I'm going to say an OL first and a highly mobile qb…maybe L. Jackson

#1 - I take a kicker #4 - I take a QB nobody wants. We will call him Jake Bentley.

Personally I would...
Apr 20, 2018, 11:06 AM
|
|
Take Barley with the first pick, trade the fourth pick down with Buffalo with a second rounder, for Buffalo's 12 and 21 picks. I would use the 12 pick for Lamar Jackson(pretty sure he'll be there), if not Fitzpatrick, James, Vea, or Payne, and use the 21st pick for Mason Rudolph if I missed on Jackson, or Landry or Edmunds if I hit on Jackson.

I think there are quite a few possibilities. Honestly,

trading one of the two picks is a very legit option if somebody is willing to overpay to trade up for a QB. Depending on how each team has graded and valued the QBs, there are 4 legit prospects that could warrant a top 4 pick. I also think taking somebody like Bradley Chubb at 4 would be a good pick. DE is right up there with LT and CB (behind QB obviously) in terms of position value in the modern NFL.
I wouldn't draft a RB at 4, even one as gifted as Barkley. I think that position has just been devalued too much in the current NFL. Just take a RB in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th round and he's likely to produce at a comparable level. I heard something recently, i think on a podcast, and i believe the gist of it was that there's been almost no difference in the productivity of RBs taken in rounds 1-4 recently. Essentially you are just as likely to get a decent RB in the 4th round as the 1st, and for less money and draft capital.
Barkley's style worries me just a little bit too. He's not really a downhill runner, and he's obviously not a bruising workhorse type. It's really a shame, but modern NFL defenses have just sucked all of the life and all of the fun out of the RB position. I'd love to see Barkley juke guys out of their shoes in the NFL and break off a lot of huge runs, but you just don't see much of that anymore. He seems fairly comparable to Reggie Bush to me, and Bush has had an OK career but he's essentially just been a league average RB, and we've never seen the explosiveness out of him in the NFL that he showed in college.

Mayfield at #1, Barkeley at #4. Mayfield is the best QB in this Draft.
I can't stand the guy, but he's a good QB.

If he keeps up his little on field act of pissing everybody off, Mayfield is gonna end up in a body bag if he ever touches the field in the league

Barkley and James. I know they will probably take a QB but I would wait till the second round or wait till next year. I think Tyrod is better than any QB in this class. Rosen may turn out to be a good one but idk.

What's better next year? The top prospects for 2019 right
Apr 21, 2018, 12:42 PM
|
|
now are Drew Lock, Clayton Thorson, and a few other guys that could leave early like Shea Patterson, Jacob Eason, Jarrett Stidham, Francois, and Will Grier.
I would take my chances with one of the top 4 guys this year.

I agree with you. I just do not see anybody that good this year which is why I said wait till the second round or next year. Ofcourse they will pick a QB in their first pick I just don't think they should. I think Tyrod can lead them to the playoffs if he has a decent team around him. They could also work a trade out to get a back up qb somewhere. If they do take a QB early I hope they go with Rosen but I just don't think any are much better than the rest this year is why I would wait and see who falls to the second round. Ofcourse you never know with qbs. Plenty of first rounders have been busy and plenty of starters have been from late rounds.
