2017 Syracuse 27, Clemson 24...sans opinions

Junior #1 QB Kelly Bryant started the game with an injured ankle. Even though he was ineffective, he played well into the game until he left the game with a concussion. Freshman #2 QB Zerrick Cooper came in and finished the game even though he was ineffective too. Freshman #3 QB Hunter Johnson never played a snap. Both Cooper and Johnson eventually left the team via the portal.

Maybe starting Zerrick Cooper instead of bringing him off the bench might have worked better ??????? ... KB was not ready and his immobility got him knocked out. That was a coaching and I suppose a medical staff decision

Giving Cooper all the starting reps the week before might have been better that shoving him onto the field in an emergency situation.

All water under the bridge at this point.

DJU is not injured ... it’s his potential replacement who is hobbled.

DJ is not injured but he is just as immobile.

Cooper is in his fourth year at Jacksonville State...

He won the starting QB in 2018 until suffering a season-ending injury against Florida International in 2020. He is the 2021 starter.

Hunter Johnson is in his fourth season at Northwestern. He redshirted in 2018, started five games in 2019, and only appeared in two games in 2020. He was noted team Captain in 2021 and earned the starting job ahead of South Carolina transfer Ryan Hilinski and veteran Andrew Marty. All three have played and started at various times this season.

Both seem to be doing pretty well.
