I dont disagree here. In spite of all the talk the Penn St pres now is the guy who signed off on Sandusky's emeritus deal. Probably not the leadership you want moving forward

his wife quiet. There's much more to this story than just Sandusky. Louis Freeh was brought in to give it credibility and closure. The NCAA punishments will add the stamp/stomp of a final verdict. I believe Sandusky was really a PIMP who couldn't stay away from the 'stable'. There's a major cover-up. I know....Conspiracy, conspiracy, conspiracy! Do your own research before you squawk. Remember the Second Mile? The MSM seems to have forgotten them.

It's just the general response on here to anyone questioning the "official" story line.

no problem. yeah early on I heard some rumors were out there about Sandusky using the foundation for others activities beyond his own sick proclivities. I have hoped that isnt true.
I will say I once lived in the area there years ago and have friends there. The wife and I have had many discussions about how the thing that surprised us most is this would be the last place you would think this would happen. It scares me to think if it can happen there what could go on elsewhere

absolutely agree!! NCAA needs to "butt out" now!Penn State has/is doing enough to themselves... maybe a letter of reprimand?? what is done is done and beating this dead horse will not un-do any of it..when the NCAA needs to come "down hard" usuc and UNC they do nest to nothing.. leave Pwn state alone now

Saying the NCAA should stay out of the Penn State issue because they didn't punish UNC enough doesn't make sense. Wouldn't you agree that child abuse is much worse than academic fraud?

Agreed at this point, before the freeh report I was against the ncaa taking any action but now I don't see how they could not

The ncaa views lack of institutional control as one of the worst offenses. If this is not that I do not know what is.

of sports programs.
the nc2a has no purview over an academic institution beyond that and as i've said, they're just one of the vultures lining up to expand the breadth of their domain.
it's a ####### joke.

Well I think we're just going to have to disagree on this one. I truly think that penn state can and s hould be taken to the cleaners by both the district attorney and the ncaa. You think it's just the duty of the district attorney, doubt there's much in a scenario like this is going to change either of our minds.

on ESPN (anonymously of course).
You can't rewrite your bylaws on the fly. While horrible, the legal and moral issues at Penn State have nothing to do with the definition of "lack of instituitonal control" as defined by the NCAA.

An institutional coverup to protect coaches is not out of the reach of the NCAA at all.
