Bowl season just isn’t the same anymore

Winning a cotton bowl, rose bowl used to be a memorable season. Now, it’s a participation trophy for not making the playoff.
I loathe the CFP and all that it stands for.

There's a reason why they used to anoint national champions, and still award the Heisman and other individual trophies, before the bowls are played.

I never thought our orange bowl vs OSU or peach bowl vs LSU was an exhibition game. Mattered to me. Agree to disagree

I guess what I should have said is they started out as glorified exhibition games, and then there was a period where they meant more, and now we're back to where we started.

Just unfortunate to me. We’re not the NFL and FBS has over 100 teams. To expect national title or bust, or even playoff is so irrational. There were times when a BCS bowl game would’ve meant as much to me as a national title, yet now a rose bowl or orange bowl seems like it matters little. That’s all I’m saying

Frankly every game is an exhibition game.
If the bowl games are meaningless then 99+% of all games are meaningless.
