Deer dooshcyclist#1 and dooshcyclist #2 riding in Clemson

yesterday:
Please note that the SCDOT put in bike lanes (at taxpayers expense) for your safety and convenience. Please use them instead of backing up traffic for a quarter mile because you insist on riding 2 abreast in the main traffic lane.
I expect you're the type that runs red lights and don't signal your turn intentions.

I've never been OK with killing a man

But I have thought about bloddying my tires on some cyclists many times. Here in TR/Taylors, they love to ride around town instead of on the MOTHERFUCKINGSWAMPRABBITTRAIL that we put in for these ####### who like to ride bicycles in their spandex. I've googled train horns before to see how expensive it would be to get one for my truck just for this occasion. They're not too bad, but the install would be difficult for an amateur like me.

to see out their bicycle hobbies in a safe place. The ones who do it seem to be purposefully trying to be dickheads. A buddy of mine tried to argue about it one time that it's a just a great way to get excercise. Well that's nice, but you don't see me doing curls in the middle of State Park road do you?

In the Charleston area, there are two roads--Clements Ferry Road and Highway 41--they ride on all the time, and it's a ####### death wish. CFR especially. Tractor trailers going well over 55 mph. Lots of construction. Tons of fatal accidents. And like what you cited, there are numerous scenic routes all around they could use that don't create such a safety hazard to everyone.
I don't take my golf cart on CFR because I would die. Don't ride your bike on it.

Speaking of Clements Ferry Road... is the widening from Jack Primus to SC 41 underway yet?

I don't think they're super far off from opening up traffic to both sides.

From what I understand, there are development plans for somewhere in the neighborhood of 4,000 new homes between Martin's Creek and Cainhoy Road. SC 41 into Mt. Pleasant will HAVE to be widened soon.
And no way I'd ride my bike on either, four lanes or no.

Lotta battle over where that 41 widening will happen with the Philips community vs. Park West/Dunes West.

basketball shorts, tennis shoes, and a helmet of course.
I'm lucky. In Naples all roads have bike lanes, about 5 feet wide I'd guess.

We is the last time they cleaned any lane? The cars blow the debris out of the lane, bikes should go faster and do the same.

to speeding metal projectiles driven by mostly inattentive phone addicts. It's like having a death wish. Your number WILL eventually come up even through no fault of your own. And you're NOT gonna win the collision.
My mountain bike is so much fun to ride....but I have no urge to ride it on pavement. So much more fun to ride a bike on trails and dirt.

Plus a trail is generally smoother than most SC roads.
