Yeah let’s run Dabo off…does Ken Hatfield have a son?

I was spoiled as a student (‘86-‘89 seasons, Danny’s last 4), wandered through the wilderness for 20 years, and I’m spoiled again. But hopefully Dabo will swallow his pride and adapt, and we as a program will not make the mistake we made with Danny.
Dabo, Hatfield Jr., even if Muschamp is the coach, I’m all in. I love Clemson, and I love Clemson football. I’ve enjoyed the good times and endured the bad times. I still trust Dabo. Gonna be a season we remember for a long time.

Who is saying Dabo needs to go. Hell I am hoping Dabo circa 2012 walks through those doors on Monday. The guy who went to take guys from Oklahoma, not the guy who offers jobs to guys just because they played here. If their qualified, great, but much of our highly compensated staff, doesn’t have a great coaching resume.

It does NOT say “Stick with Dabo and keep doing what we are doing”.
My point, clearly not well made, was let’s trust Dabo to change, and hope he is not too stubborn or power hungry to do it.

I don’t think anyone is saying throw the baby out with the bath water, but it is pretty obvious that the water needs to be changed. You have to evolve to be relevant. What has worked for the last 10 years will not work for the next 10 years. Dabo knows how to make the necessary changes. It’s time to quit talking about it and do it. Four games in and still struggling is not acceptable.

Agreed. Dabo built this program into what I should be. I have not heard anyone say he has to go. What he is going to have to do is adjust which is tough because the changes probably hurt our philosophy to recruiting more than anyone. Dabo is loyal but the kids are not loyal. Things that he will need to adapt:
1. We have to over sign. You can now count on 4 to 5 transfers a year.
2. We have to use the portal. It is like recruiting high school players. I hate the portal by the way and think it will destroy the overall health and competition in CFB overall. But it is here to stay.
3. Gotta get with the times on offense and make the necessary changes.

We have all been spoiled and for the dollars being spent we’ve earned being spoiled! Having said that Love Dabo and the program he has built…BUT it’s time to evaluate and correct problems. I’m not jumping ship yet BUT AGAIN extremely disappointed in the program and especially the offense this year. Also I agree that surrounding yourself with yes men for whatever reason is not healthy or productive. Since we are now probably out of everything except the DUST BOWL let’s start correcting what’s wrong and rebuild.;

It’s about tearing yourself down and building yourself back up. Wish we could show the movie “Rocky 3” to the staff, team, and fans. Maybe we can screen it in Death Valley.

And PS: I think the coach for NCST is and has been rude and disgusting toward Clemson! He needs to learn to win with some class and dignity.

This moment is where the rubber meets the road. Does Dabo still have the fire that he had to use to build this program up? If so, he's got a lot of hard decisions ahead of him. If he makes them, we're lucky to have a guy who's perpetually hungry and driven. If he doesn't, it was a nice decade.
