Clemson flagship station

Is fully behind the Brownell regime spewing their propaganda. Exception is maybe Mickey but he has been silenced. The true fans who want what’s best for Clemson basketball need to let their voices be heard. Email D rad and the athletic department. Fire Brownell !

As a true fan who wants what is best for Clemson. A win over Duke, Syracuse, NC State, at Chapel Hill. With a very young team playing without 2 or 3 of its 5 projected starters for most of the year. After losing 4 starters to graduation last year. With one of the best recruiting classes in school history coming in next season returning a nucleus of good young talent. I'll take what the basketball program is building. And before you get into it has been 10 years. I think you have to break Brad's tenure into 2. Before Greenville playing a season away from home and after the Greenville and with new renovated facilities. After Greenville, sweet 16, good wins this season with a young team. It's good. Exceeded expectation so far this season and very bright future. Next season the best mix of talent and experience in Brad's tenure for sure and maybe in Clemson basketball at least in a very long time.

has the most wins in program history,
the best ACC winning percentage in program history,
one of our best seasons in program history,
a very good recruiting class coming in next year,
the highest team GPA in school history,
who runs a clean program,
who represents our university well,
and who is very well respected by his peers.

One very good season in ten years. One tourney appearance in ten years. Clean program? Assistant caught on wire tap disgracing not only the basketball program but even dragging the football program into it. Jaron blossomgame taking money at a dinner during the acc tourney. Brownell is nothing but mediocre and the program will continue to be under his leadership. As far as win total and percentage he’s been here much longer than other coaches and the Acc is much easier than in the past.

different schools. Has another conference done that?
I’m not saying it’s better than in the past but it seems just as good. How can you say it’s easier when we have added Louisville, Syracuse, and Notre Dame?

The league might be just as good at the top, but the

schedule for a team like Clemson is easier without playing everyone at the top twice. Looking at ranked conference opponents the first 9 years according to the AP poll Cliff Ellis played 11 more ranked conference opponents than Brad did.
Last year when UVA won the national championship the ACC had the 5th best conference net ranking behind the Big12, B1G, SEC and Big East.
This year the ACC has the 6th best conference net ranking behind the Big East, Big 12, B1G, Pac 12 and SEC.

Okay, so if NET is going to be an important metric
Feb 7, 2020, 11:40 AM
|
|
then let's not forget that we finished 35th in NET ranking last year.
http://warrennolan.com/basketball/2019/net
Over half of the ACC was in the top 50 in NET last year (Syracuse was #42 in NET, which was 8th among ACC teams).
Prior to the NET, the RPI was the gold standard. In 2017-2018, we were #11.
https://basketball.realgm.com/ncaa/info/rpi_rankings/2018
It seems that you are shifting the goalposts. Brad gets dinged for not going to enough NCAA Tournaments, but when NCAA success is mentioned to show that the ACC is very tough these days, the conversation shifts to rankings.
Please decide which metric we are going to use. Or is it more about making Brad look as bad as possible?

You can’t say we run a clean program when we have a confirmed player taking money from an agent and an assistant on FBI wiretaps. Regardless of if Smith was blowing smoke about the money part, he admitted to visiting a recruit multiple times during a dead period. NCAA non-compliance falls on the coach regardless of knowledge.

Link to evidence showing that Brad had knowledge of that?
Feb 7, 2020, 11:44 AM

Because I can certainly share links where both Brad and DRad stated that Brad had no knowledge of it.
Also, it's funny how you bring it up for basketball, simply because you don't like Brad. I bet you never bring those kinds of things up about Cliff Ellis, Danny Ford, etc. - and those coaches got us on NCAA probation.

He also said that we don't run a clean program.
Feb 7, 2020, 2:56 PM

If he feels that way, simply because some violations occurred without the head coach's knowledge, where do we draw the line? Should any program found to be out of compliance with the NCAA, even on one occasion, be deemed "dirty?"
If so, our football program should be considered dirty as well, since 13 NCAA violations were committed. We all know that would be a ridiculous statement. Calling our basketball program dirty is ridiculous too.
