Surratt is a good wr. Newman is good. But pass was short and a good corner of safety would have batted that down. UNC is terrible. Which makes the ##### worse.

The pass barely got to the receiver and the guy was wide open. It was an average pass at best.

I kind of forgot about Bryce Perkins! Yeah, Newman is somewhere around 4th or 5th. Good still though!

It's already Perkins. He's easily the second best QB in the ACC and he has a full season of great play to back it up.

I would go Brice and even Blackman before. Newman is solid though.

Brice has a lot of potential but how can you say a guy who doesn't play that much as a starter be one of the best in the ACC?. Even if you look at when he plays, his QB rating of quality points is not as high as a few guys who start.
If you wanted to say he is the best backup QB in the ACC, ok you have a strong argument.

Because just about every starter in the ACC sucks. Brice would start for almost all of them.

There is no proof in that belief. He what start for a lot, but you cant prove that he would start for the real good ones.

Well, "it's one posters opinion"! You don't have to agree. I am not trying to persuade you! But, Bryce Perkins, I could go #2 and Chase Brice #3. Yes, despite him not being a starter.
All the scouts coming to see some of the other talent on Clemson's roster seem to think he will play in the NFL. And some of the guys you would have in front of him won't.
So, there you go.

It's just their bias plain and simple. Brice is a good backup QB. He's played meaningful snaps one time and yeah he made a big throw, but by and large he was not very good in that game.

Brice was really good game 1 this year and should have had another td and only 1 incompletion. He is a stud. He would start for almost every other team in the ACC.

I wouldn’t trade Chase Brice for Jamie Newman. Or any other quarterback in the ACC not named Trevor Lawrence.

I haven't seen much of him (just the ND game), but I thought the Louisville QB was pretty darn good. I think that had a lot to do with making ND look average. I still think ND is going to be very good this year, and still predicting a win "twixt da hedges".
