I would prefer to stay in the ACC and have teams like UNC, GT, Miami, VT, and a few others pick it up performance wise. It would be nice playing new teams though. Might bring some new excitement to Clemson. Also, it would be awesome if ND became a full member. I'm not sure that is going to happen. The only reason I would want to leave the ACC is if we got an invite to the SEC. The ACC just needs to solidify a few teams that dominate year in and year out. Clemson and Florida State are getting close, but no quite there. we need a couple more teams to pick it up and compete nationally.

we are a charter member, the ACC is standing strong in this era of turmoil. There is history here.
Not interested in jumping ship to a floundering and "once was" conference .
It was once the Southwest and Big 8 conference, decided to change and merge. Now it is just the " little 10" with the addition of a Big East and MAC school to replace two of 4 loses.
The ACC now has a footprint from South Florida to upstate New York.

I don't understand this "run to the SEC"

SO, they have a big tV contract, I heard the ACC'S was no child labor deal.
And what does it matter? We don't need the money, we don't pay players. We have great facilites, Iptay behind athletics.
Just do not understand.

There is so much wrong in this post. "We don't need the money". You ever looked at our actual budget? You ever looked at any D1 athletic budgets? A good portion operate in the red. WE ABSOLUTELY NEED THE MONEY. I have no idea what you are talking about in regards to a no child labor deal. We do not have great facilities. Our basketball program is probably 10th out of 12 schools right now in terms of facilities. Your forgetting that money is used for an entire athletic budget. Not just football.
IPTAY is great, but you cannot afford to count on something that is fluid. If another recession comes IPTAY numbers will drop. Right now they are solid and new members are joining every day. That doesn't mean 2 years from now they will be down. TV contract money is bottom line. You can count on that money every single season.
Hope that helps you understand the situation

If those are the only two choices I would have to know the remainder of the conference makeup.
An ACC as is, or with another football school or two added, and better conference leadership, would be my preference.
If FSU leaves the ACC Clemson must go also.
If the Big 12 would go to 16 with an eastern grouping of WVU, VaT, NCST, Clemson, GaT, FSU, and Miami, that would be a nice conference.
Something about Texas and Ok I just don't trust though. I could see them one day jumping to the PAC and then we're back right were we are now.

5 or so "football" schools, and created an eastern and western division.
Obviously I'd prefer the SEC as the first option, but I think they're caught up in the whole TV market BS.

As a Sooner fan....I would love to see a couple of ACC schools join with a couple of other teams. But lets face it, I don't see the move happening b/c of the exit fee, etc. Maryland joining the Big 10 makes no sense but I'll give them credit for telling the ACC to kiss their ###. As far as the expansion of the ACC...Louisville was the only good move as far as adding to football. Yes, Pitt and 'Cuse is playing in bowl games, but lets face it...they are not strong programs they use to be and it seems they enjoy basketball more than football. The Big 12 will expand one day but the question is when and who? and I don't see any ACC teams being in the picture.

ACC - To me the big questions are "why did Nebraska, Missouri, and Texas A&M leave the Big 12 and would you want to be in a conference with Texas (special deal they have) and Oklahoma? I don't see anything there that excites me about that conference. Traveling to away games would be awful.
