When Dabo is absolutely sure that he will be a perfect fit for his program, he will do what he feels is best for Clemson FB and his team. And that I believe is the very reason we hardly ever hear about a Clemson player being in trouble with the law!!!!

He looks pretty good to me.

Those RB's of his look pretty good too. Both look big and shifty.

The reality is the SEC right now it’s just like the ACC and the B1G. It’s pretty much a one horse race. Texas A&M only beat two teams during the regular season with a winning record: Florida and Auburn. Florida only beat one team with a winning record during the regular season: Georgia. And of course auburn lost to South Carolina and fired their coach! That’s pretty freaking sad for two SEC teams that people actually think we’re good because they look good on paper and because they play in the SEC. Texas A&M barely beat Vanderbilt 17-14 and they were 0-10 but hey they had a girl kicker! Woo hoo! Of course that leaves Georgia, which lost to Florida despite the fact that people think they are the second best team in the SEC. Kirby Smart has improved recruiting which was already insanely good at Georgia yet somehow he’s underachieving even more than Mark Rick!

Would be shocked if we offer him ...

1. 2022 may be a weak year talent-wise. Currently 24/7 only has 3 5-star kids. #1 is the Ewers kid, the QB that de-committed from Texas and committed to Ohio State. Definitely looks like a weak class for QB's and DL. There are only a handful of QB's in the 24/7 top 100. Ewers @ #1, then the next QB is the #38 player, Gunner Stockton, the QB that de-cooted and will probably follow Bobo to Auburn. After that QB's are @ #40, 47, 57, 62, 67, 77, 90, then not another QB till #154.

That's only 1 QB in the top 25 players. Only 4 in the top 50, and only 9 in the top 100 players.

2. We already have a very good QB committed in this class, Ty Simpson, #90 24/7, #42 composite, 4 stars, #5 Dual threat QB per 24/7, #2 composite, and #2 recruit in Tennessee.

3. This kid, Cade Klubnik, is the #7 Pro style QB, 219 overall, 155 composite. So he's not bad, but well below Simpson.

So I don't see us offering this guy when we already have Simpson. Sounds like we are keeping in contact in case something happens with Simpson. This guy is the fall back, but Simpson is far better and already committed.

We have DJ for 2 years, so we'll need a stud to start in 2023. Guess who is the best QB in high school right now? And he'll be in the 2023 class. Arch Manning. So here is Dabo's sales pitch .... Arch, we need a QB for the 23 season. You can come in and compete to be the starter as a freshman and the race will be wide open. You can follow Tajh Boyd, Deshaun Watson, Trevor Lawrence, and DJ, and become the face of college football and be Clemson's 3rd consecutive QB drafted #1 like Peyton & Eli.

Side Note; OSU already has 6 of the top 51 recruits in the 2022 class. Including #1 the QB Ewers. Oklahoma also has 6 of the top 50, 4 in the top 20.

Clemson currently has 5 of the top 90 players including Gunner Givens, #17 overall and #2 OT. We have 4 in the composite top 42, 5 top 90.

Oklahoma may reach the (Bama, OSU, Geo) level this year recruiting wise, already there w/ the skill positions-

What’s really surprising is how many big-time defensive players they have commitments from because Oklahoma doesn’t play defense! They haven’t played defense in years. Yet they are successfully recruiting kids on that side of the ball this year.

Simpson is not committed to Clemson.

Also you are reaching to say that Manning will definitely be the top QB in '23.

You might want to take a look at some of the young kids from out west before deciding on Manning.

When you look at 24/7 and how they list their top 250 recruits they have him committed to Clemson. But then when I pulled up his individual profile it just showed a crystal ball prediction for Clemson. That’s interesting because normally on the composite view it only shows commitments.

I would rather have Manning than any of those other kids especially the ones from out west. I think he will be the top quarterback, but if he’s not they will be very closely grouped together at the top and in that situation it’s a crapshoot as to which one will end up being the best in college, which is why I pick Manning. Thanks to his genes and family history he will be better equipped to handle the spotlight and the pressure in college. He’s dealing with it already and being successful. You have to look at the intangibles, especially when you’re talking about extremely tiny differences in ratings among top quarterbacks.

Example, a lot of people put Justin fields ahead of Trevor Lawrence after the elite 11 competition because of how well Justin fields did in that the 7 on 7 tournament. But 7 on 7 is not real football. It’s a completely different skill set that kids learn how to play during the summer tournaments. On the field in real football games Trevor Lawrence was clearly the better quarterback. So you have to understand where these ratings come from and look at intangibles rather than simply looking at who is the top rated quarterback.

One thing is for certain, the 2022 recruiting class looks rather weak in terms of elite talent and it’s definitely a weak quarterback class. But the 2023 class looks strong!
