USuCk fans are the worst in the nation. What other fan base throws water bottles, batteries, and profanity as well as gestures towards their opponents as much as this low class act. Not even close.

I would have to say LSU has the worst fans in the nation and it’s not even close. Bleacher report agrees.

In my personal experiences:
I've never had problems with SC fans... though never been to WB so only experience with fans from within state of SC visiting Clemson, the worst I've encountered were actually Wofford.
Some of the following fans I've encountered witnessing non-Clemson games:
GA = UGA
NC = NCS
FL = Miami (never forget seeing a group of Canes trying to throw a Florida fan off the upper deck ramp mid 80's Orange Bowl)
AL = AL
CA = UCLA - they weren't rude anything... just nerdy and weird. I've seen Stanford, Cal, UCLA, USC from various visits out west.
LA = LSU - from two encounters: @ 90's Peach Bowl and some game at Alabama one year 90's... they were just awful.

By far the Scar fans. Excluding the last couple of years where they were awful, they were just as nasty when they were winning those 3 years. I’ve seen them push children, curse at young teenagers. “Accidentally” trip and spill drinks all over Clemson fan, fans throwing their empty trash at Clemson fans, not counting how they are treated coming into the stadium. The last couple of years y’all showed the word exactly how crass, vulgar and violent scar fans are

You've never been to an LSU game. LSU has the worse fans in the nation bar none and I say that as an LSU alum. They do all the above except they are always way more drunk.

I don't know about every fan base, so I won't make an absolute statement, but I've had fans of other schools say it must suck to have SC as a rival since they have such trashy fans.
I've mostly heard that from UGA fans, but I even heard it recently from a Penn State fan who lived in SC for a couple years.

Last year in Charlotte there was a group of belligerent Miami fans behind us; in the 3rd quarter when they were all filing out my 9 year old yells at their ring leader....."YOU CAN LEAVR THAT TURNOVER CHAIN HERE WITH ME"

I actually had a better time with coot fans tailgating than I did with miami fans in Charlotte. Miami fans were horrible! Cant wait to beat up on them again!

A bunch of frat guys were in town for a buddies bachelor party a few weekends ago, and we were at a bar and they were sitting across from us, and they got into a heated argument on who the real national champions were. Two of them said that UCF hands down won it and that the argument should have been settled on the field. They tried to tell the other guys that UCF was the only team that finished undefeated and that Alabama are cowards because they wouldn't play UCF, that after the Georgia game, Alabama and UCF should have had to play for the actual championship...

I was not associated with them, we just heard them arguing, but the funny story is every single one of them either went to UNCC or Western Carolina and one was an Ohio State fan. I was tempted to chime in and say you guys can’t beat a team from South Carolina and write O31-0 on a napkin.

Tenn... By far... Witnessed myself during the chick filet kick off the year Clemson played Auburn,and Tenn played NC State stayed at the teams Hotel and the Tenn fan base were nothing but a bunch of drunks and rude people that were always Harassing patrons staying at the hotel. This I"am referring to mostly the students not the older alumni base from Tenn.

Coot fans are just obnoxious by default. I don’t even think they have to try to be irritating. All they have to do is get a first down or make a play & then the entire section of fans start cackling like drunk chickens. They somehow equate that with cheering, but it sounds more like a hungry fox just entered a henhouse! Thank goodness they usually don’t have anything to cheer about after the 2nd quarter!

No fan base worse than UGA. FSU is awful, too.

Back in the mid 90’s Virginia fans were insufferable. These days they are Rip Van Winkle asleep, to be sure, but still. They’re an irrelevant but hateful nasty bunch.

To all WV fans:
Since the 2012 Orange Bowl, WV has gone 43-34 and 1-6 in bowls. The lone postseason win was the 2015 Cactus Bowl.

The fact is, our most hated rivals have served as whipping posts - 4 straight over the Coots, 3 over FSU.
We beat down OK twice, 40-6 & 37-17, and have 2 straight wins over OHSt. The 2016 Fiesta Bowl playoff 31-0 neckpunch is all we need to say about that.
