I served as an Army officer in an overseas nuclear missile unit. For the last year there was the highest ranking person in over a hundred miles. I was 23, and more interested in booze and girls than ?? How scary is that?
Nukes are laying about all over the World. Many unknown ones are probably sitting in harbors in containers or maybe in the middle of places like Atlanta.
I believe it unlikely the major nuke owners will start WWlll. Most likely it will be some 4th world despot.
The major hot spot right now seems to be Taiwan. China is not going to let that pass. Will the free world back Taiwan? I think the response to Hong Kong answers that.

...the lack of international action when Putin invaded Crimea should give an indication as well. If Ukraine isn't admitted to NATO soon she will be invaded, just like Taiwan will be.

I’m guessing China will create a virus that spreads across the entire world killing millions, then Russians hack the USAs most critical infrastructures, while Iran builds a supernuke with N. Korea, while mass migrations out of Central American over populate the country while inflation spikes causing the stock market to crash and people begin to switch from boys to girls and schools start teaching kids to be racist aholes.

I watched a video on YouTube yesterday of Andy Ngo giving a presentation of his new book on BLM and Antifa. After his presentation there was the typical Q&A session. This lady got up and said that she was from the south and that unlike Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis, etc. The south was having none of that and was not going down softly! The audience cheered and clapped. And this was not a southern audience!
It was an educational presentation that anyone that supports BLM and antifa should watch! Andy Ngo is a 1st generation gay Asian immigrant born and raised in Portland, which has been dealing with “mostly peaceful protests” long before Trump and 2016. He probably knows more about these organizations than anyone and has done excellent reporting as an independent journalist on these organizations., which is difficult to do since they block and attack anyone that they think is a journalist. He was also nearly beaten to death in eyesight of a Portland police station at one of those peaceful protests!

This guy was born and raised in Vermont and moved to San Francisco at 18 where he lived for more than a decade before living abroad for many years and traveling to over 80 countries. Like many YouTubers living and traveling abroad, he was forced back to America due to Covid. He has spent the past year traveling across America making videos, which are amazing! Incredibly revealing and educational!
I suggest watching the entire video, but the good stuff starts at about the 4:00 minute mark. The lady he talks to in the park is a classic liberal deluded Democrat with Trump derangement syndrome. She is the intolerant deplorable!

One thing I am sure about, the Democrats are the least likely to be writing fan-fiction about race wars and overthrowing the government. Go brush up what the impacts of the Turner Diaries have had on the white supremacists and then that current link/core of the post-trumpian republicans as the Jan 6th treason-riot at the Capitol is basically that core group.
If true policy conservatives like myself see the dems as a much more rational bunch, then there is the true risk within the internal debate as some are seeing the likes of Russians and Chinese as being the less evil than Americans. THAT is wrong.

I'm more concerned about Civil War 2 than WWII now. But if WWIII happens, look at China looking to take Taiwan. China has recently said they want Taiwan back and will use force to do so. To do that they probably would have to defeat our forces in Guam, Japan and South Korea. That's going to be a major war.

I doubt there will ever be one...the stakes are too high now with nukes. There could and probably will be some devastating mistake, some field officer with access to tac nukes (like ALMOST happened in the Cuban Missile Crisis, or some rogue terror force, or just a flat accident, but a full on nuke war is the end, and everyone knows it.
As Einstein said "I don't know what the Third World War will be fought with, the the Fourth Word War will be fought with rocks and clubs."
