Women's softball vs women's basketball.

I know we poke fun at SCar and their love of women's basketball, but I think softball is different.

Softball is more fast paced and higher skilled than men's baseball. So I think it's cool to be a softball fan.

Women's basketball is just so much worse than men's basketball.

UCLA's Coach John Wooten said otherwise. After retiring he was quoted as saying that women were playing a more pure game of basketball than the men.

Saying softball requires more skill than baseball is a stretch..

I mean.. the ball is bigger and softer.. the field is smaller.. the bats are lighter, no mound poyching from 43 feet....all for a reason.

Boys stop pitching from 43 feet when they turn 11.

take a tremendous amount of skill. A 70 mph SB pitch equates to 100 mph pitch in BB, Cagle hits 74 often.

ESPN's Sport Science broke down the speed of both games, pointing out that a 70 mph softball pitch — from the shorter distance — reaches home plate faster than a 100 mph baseball pitch. That means a softball player has less than half the time (.025 seconds) to decide to swing compared to a baseball player

On the flip side, not sure that a softball player would have any hitting success against a MLB pitcher.

All the time and it is taken the wrong way. The physics behind the comparison are true. But the implication isnt.

A 100 mph bb coming off a 10 inch mound at 60ft is much harder to hit than a 70 mph softball from no mound at 43 feet.

When u add all the movement u can generate on a baseball vs a softball the comparison gets worse.

I'm going to need you to expound on the "higher skilled than men's baseball" part of your poast. A baseball is traveling at top speed about 20mph faster than a softball and is about a 3rd smaller. There is more field to cover and men have to wear cups.

I disagree I believe Coach Butler is on her way of competing in
ACC I don’t see the negativity around her program like men’s BB with revolving door
