How big of a role would you say Wakes slow mesh played into making our Defense look bad?

Wake had the slow mesh, NC State will throw a bunch of screens tonight I think.
I was surprised that the D line couldn't disrupt Wake last week.

NC State can’t exploit our secondary like Wake did. You’d think they could with Leary, but they are a stubborn run first group and won’t take advantage of what they have. They’ll play conservatively and have nothing going on offense. Lots of 3rd and long situations

All depends. I’ve never seen a secondary play that bad on any level last week. But after listening to Dabo hopefully my concerns were put to rest. He was saying his inexperienced corners were playing with their eyes in the backfield too much. I didn’t think about it that way. But also la tech throw for over 300yds. But the good news for us is la tech and wake are probably the best 2 throwing teams we will play all year. Nc state Park qb is good but I think they want to be balance.
