Willie Simmons is the head coach of the Florida A&M Rattlers

I never realized that Willie Simmons is a head coach. Looks like he is doing well. He is recruiting a big time RB in Richard Young. I think this is pretty cool and never heard Dabo mention this.

Back in his playing days, I often wondered if we wouldn’t be a better offensive team with him as quarterback and Woody Dantzler at combination half back, scat pack, and slot - much as the University of Florida used Dantzler like running back’s when Tim Tebow and Urban Meyer were winning championships.

As I remember, he transferred and played his last year 2003 as quarterback at the citadel after Charlie Whitehurst got established as the starter.

I was at Chapel Hill when he came in us down 17-0 and he brought us back to win
