If he is anything like his grandparents he is a top of the line young man, a great athlete, and as hard a worker as you would ever want. His dad and mom also. Mike comes from good genes so I will not be surprised at any thing he does!

As you can see , I don't post much but Mike Jone's Dad ( also Mike) played for NC State then several pro teams over the years. His Grand dad David Jones coached me in HS at Ridge Spring Monetta ( small 1-A school South Carolina) Mike played in 2nd half quite a bit this year and had some good hits , tackles . Hopefully he will be tough next year.

If he doesn't step it up, he will be looking up ... at Trenton Simpson at NB/SAM by mid-season.

I have wondered about about his fiuture as a SAM. Doesn’t Venerables prefer a taller physique in that position? I agree that Simpson does seem to be a clone of Simmon’s physique.
Regardless, I think M Jones has some great football ahead, and will prove to be a very good linebacker.
