Will the National Media

Sep 11, 2021, 9:08 PM

say the same same things about the Buckeyes after their loss like they did about our Tigers after our loss to Georgia? We were over-rated, from a weak conference and were now virtually eliminated from making it to the final four. I would venture to say they will probably throw out dozens of reasons why the Buckeyes should still be included in the final selection.

Nope, they won't.

Sep 11, 2021, 9:10 PM

And they definitely won't mention that Oregon was missing their two best defenders. Sports media has a love affair with OSU.

They will get a pass somehow.

But so glad to see them lose today.

Does it matter what the National Media says?

Flame away… but here is the diff btwn them and us.

They have multiple chances to have quality wins over ranked opponents. We likely will not get that chance. Our conf championship game likely won’t be a quality win this year.

Rutgers

Indiana
Penn St.

Michigan St.

At this time, Penn St. is the only remaining ranked regular season opponent for tOSU.

Why do you even say that? You have no idea who or how good

our possible opponent in the ACC CG will be. The coastal winner may be a top 10 team, by the time we get there!

You make a good point Joe.

But as much as Ryan Day's personality makes him resemble Dave Doeren's more hirsute younger brother, the Bucknuts seem to have a little more on the ball offensively than our Tigers right now. Hopefully, that will change in the upcoming weeks.

+1 for "hirsute"...***

OSU scored 28 points with 495 yards of offense,

Clemson scored 3 points with 180 yards.

Big difference,

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They also gave up 35 pts and 400 yds

Sep 11, 2021, 9:30 PM

What’s your point?

We gave up 230yds to UGA.

Re: Will the National Media

Sep 11, 2021, 9:38 PM [ in reply to Re: Will the National Media ]

OSU gave up 35 offensive points on 505yds, losing by 7pts at home.

Clemson gave up 3 offensive points on 256yds, losing by 7pts at a neutral site.

Oklahoma looked bad at home vs Tulane, TAMU barely escaped Denved with a W vs CU. Notre Dame squeeked out a W vs Toledo.
Iowa St. lost at home vs a top 10 rival.
Outside of Bama, no one has looked "perfect" the first 2 weeks.

UGA's 3pt performance has been overlooked because ours was slightly worse and we're supposed to be the high performance offense.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Drop the banana! We looked much better offensively today,

Sep 11, 2021, 9:39 PM [ in reply to Re: Will the National Media ]

and defensively we didn't need to play our starters in the second half as our lead was wide enough by halftime to allow almost 100 Clemson players to get into the game.
