Will Brown would be our best at slot

Will carried the Boiling Springs Bulldogs to the state championship few years back and was unstoppable at slot receiver He will not be afraid to try to catch the ball as everyone else is

scholarship along with the Swinney and Venables boys, and several other walk-ons. I was certain that Hunter Renfrow started out as a walk on, and he turned out to be a pretty fair player. Now I has the confuse.

Thought he had very good effort on the reception made in the game. Has shown good hands on punt receptions. Just one pass catch this season. Given the WRs were mostly absent, TE should've targeted him more vs Pitt along with earlier games in addition to Davis and Ennis who have caught balls well.

Why don't we have several FAST WRs?

All of our highly rated WRs are similarly built: tall and sturdy. But not necessarily FAST. And it seems like our highly recruited WRs are not sure-handed.
Guess we know what we need to recruit for the next few years. Or pull from the portal?

Well, he is the only WR we have that has the look of a slot receiver. All the others are tall and lanky receivers. And he does seem to have good hands. Heck, try anything at this point.

I thought the same thing, However I am afraid one real good pop over the middle and I don't know if we could find any pieces of him. He looks even smaller than Renfrow and a little more fraile. Definitely should try him he should know the system well and what a story that would be if he was the spark.

Problem in comparing him w Renfrow in terms of walk on is Will is a 5th year senior.

Pretty clear from watching the Raiders that Renfrow has about 80% more athletic ability than Brown.

It’s a crime that he isn’t playing

Troy is clearly the best slot WR we have and could be the weapon we’re looking for with his quickness and clean route running, but they just want give him reps.

Maybe Will Taylor in the mix too at one point. Also, how about Brannon Spector too next year?

There is a reason Troy is not playing. I don’t know what it is, but the coaches do. If it is roster MGT thing, then play him against FSU, Louisville and Wake then sit him against the Ganecocks, UConn and the bowl game

I agree, I believe why Troy is not playing is roster management. He has all the tools to be great. I'm thinking we will see him play within the next few games.
