wildcat plays

anyone have thoughts on why we dont ever run wildcat plays? Many good teams use it and usually to success. even alabama used it against us several years ago and always worked. seems Shipley or Mafa with a full head of steam, and the ability to pick the best hole would be a great play on 3rd or 4th and short.

Because our coaches are smart, and wildcat tells the defense that you are running the ball, so they don't have to worry about the pass. I wish the wildcat and the prevent (the win) defense would just go away.

is pretty weak IMHO ...

When Arkansas made it their primary offense with Darrin McFadden, it worked because not only was the guy a beast running the ball, he also had the ability to throw it once in a while.

We’ve seen Shipley “shot-put” the ball on his one passing attempt. Miraculously it worked, but it wouldn’t work very often.

I feel like we would have to use A. Williams rather than Ship or Mafah. Need more speed with the wildcat
