So? Isn't Louisville close to #200 over 100 spots below the other ACC schools. They are in.

I maintained at the time of the ACC expansion and do so to this day that I considered the lack of an invitation to WVU to be an act of effete snobbery, Furthermore, I was embarrassed that Clemson abided that nefarious decision. VT had the Governor of Virginia rise to their defense due to UVA's membership. WVU had no one despite the invitation to Pitt, the long time rival to the Mountaineers...an inexcuseable travesty.
I have long despised the haves snubbing their noses at the have-nots, an attitude fostered not only in my family, but at Clemson as well. There, the university community gave a poor, skinny kid a chance to gain an education while developing his talents. And (without bragging) I have on my wall today two items of which I am immensely proud and deeply grateful to my Alma Mater for its invitation: a Distinguished Military Graduate Award and a designation as a Who's Who in America graduate.
Hence, why the conference's failure to offer the invitation remains a deeply-sore thorn, lending more basis for my own distaste for the ACC.

Athletically they are mediocre enough to fit right in.
Academically there is much more to be desired.
WV isn't exactly booming television market

Abandoned their state’s constituents or their charter to provide an education to their own states students in favor of chasing elites and their out of state money. If this is true then Clemson should try to be more like WVU and follow our own will upon which our school was founded.
I used to parrot our conferences academic success until I learned that my tax dollars are funding liberal nonsense. And don’t get me started about the “blue bloods” from Chapel Hill who have long looked down their noses at little old Clemson’s Agricultural School (but they like to eat too) and yet the whole time they were harboring the worst academic cheating scandal in American History. In spite of this they like to wave their flag as the standard bearer of academic prominence?
Who are we as a school, and who are we as a conference to tell WVU no?

53.89% out of state. One of the HIGHEST for a public land grant school.
53.89% of WVU students come from out of state, and 2.91% come from out of the country.
Clemson - 35%
And I was an Out of state student.

It is far from the worst academic scandal.... And UNC while not having actual classes and conducting academic fraud for the benefit of their athletic program.

but what's more important to determining that is that they are top 15 or so in all-time wins and not their academic ranking. I know its much less than the other ACC schools but conference expansion and TV markets dont care about that.

We can all have a good laugh at WVU’s academic ranking next time we’re among 7500 of our closest friends in Wallace Wade Outdoor Stadium. Perhaps the Duke lady who was violently attacked with racist slurs at BYU can lead a rally at halftime

Yes shame on the ACC if they invited an actual football loving school and big time football environment into the conference. They should just keep their rightful place behind the B1G and SEC in TV money.

I would guess WVU attracts the eyes of most of West Virginia, southern Ohio, some of Kentucky and Pennsylvania. While Boston has tons of residents, anyone whose ever been to a game up there will tell you most Bostonians couldn’t tell you who B.C.‘s coach is
