If you're going to run a fake, having a QB with the ball seems an obvious advantage to me ...

But it seems like everyone has gone away from that thinking.

I've always wondered the same thing a backup qb would be the logical choice to be a holder in my opinion.

That position is an opportunity for a walk on's and legacy recruits. Or big names like Seth Ryan because he's rex kid you know. Plus I don't think we're ever going to fake kicks. We would just go for two instead

I don't think that really matters. I'm thinking its 1) Swinney is the best holder on the team and 2)They're focused on just making the Kick rather than faking it. Think about how many times in the past decade Clemson has gone for a fake FG kick.

It also doesn't really matter if its a QB or not. We ran a fake punt to Wilkins against OU and Andy Teasdall threw the ball. The punter. Pretty sure Will could AT LEAST get the ball to someone if they did need to fake.
