Why isn't anyone mentioning our poor defense for Shaw?

There are two simple keys to this loss:
1) Turnovers 2) Allowing Shaw to run all over us on 3rd down
The second item should be NOOOO surprise. Why didn't BV have a plan?
Hope we don't play Texas A&M in a bowl. Manziel will kill us.

BV had absolutely no answer to Shaw. Never tried the "scout" approach with a DB tracking his every move, never tried different d sets to stop the QB draw, our DE rush to the passer not where he most likely is going to go therefore he gets outside and the result time and time again was 10-20 yards BV is in over his head and must go!

Apparently our plan was for Shaw to graduate.

seemed like the gameplan was to stop davis. But you know what I don't blame the last 5 YEARS on anyone but the pathetic conference. Playing patsy football teams makes everyone "soft" over the course of the year and when we get to the last game we get hit and drop the ball. We play SCARED.

Without the turnovers, Shaw would not have mattered

Adam Humphries beat us. Take him out of the game and Scar scores no more than 17 points while Clemson gets two to three more TD's. Shaw was not the problem. This is all on Humphries.

I thought the defense did good. Held Davis to minimal yards. Shaw runs on everybody, when healthy. Johnny Football will run on us too, just like he does against every team. I don't blame BV at all.

I've posted about it several times.
We had no plan to contain the QB.
It's like last year didn't happen.
We had no adjustments at half time to contain the QB.
It's like the first half didn't happen.

7 and 8 people were in the box to stop Davis. Shaw would be running and there was no one else in the picture.

If there is one thing I can fault the coaches for this is it.

Defense played pretty salty 2nd half and we got screwed on the offsides penalty.

One year later and the Shaw problem was not addressed. That is coaching.

it was pick your poison and you chose Shaw. Stack the box and Shaw runs to the outside. So yes you shut down Davis but Shaw ran all over. We also chose not to score quickly and run ball control hence the TOP advantage. Your 2 minute drives are cute and all but it helps you lose the close games.

I honestly think yall would kill A&M, they have absolutely no defense. Tajh would light them up and i would count on Clemson getting a few stops.
