yep and if you want to run off your entire fan base, that would do it. never understood the fascination of fans that want to wear unis that are not the school colors.

an alternate uniform, at least conduct a little research and have enough intelligence to get the paw correct on the helmets and the pants.

They probably did this for every major team in teh country to try and cultivate interest so this is not the finished product but a concept.
The concept is awesome and simple and black doesn't, in my opinion, disrupt the natural traditional color scheme of the school since its a nuetral color that is actually in our uniforms but is primarly just used as border or outline.
And a previous poster said it would run off the fan base. If one day of having a different look would run you off then you deserve to be a coot anyway. They coudl run out in Pink and i'll be a Tiger Fan the next day.
Its just a little flair to keep up with the times and create some interest with the new crop of athletes coming up. Its smart in my opinion to do a special uni once a year.

I am not sure how you can say a predominately black uniform doesn't disrupt the natural traditional color scheme of the school.
We no longer use black in our uniforms as a border or outline. The stripes on the helmets and the outline around the numbers is purple not black.

one game...not the whole season... one game of flash for craps and giggles...
i like the idea of having a wild card uni every year. NEver would you use these as your traditional uniform or any version of it...but one game against an Oregon, etc.... thats why it wouldn't disrupt our traditions. We're not adding a green or yellow but black or gray are neutral colors...
thats why some of our warm ups are gray... do you get repulsed by those? Its the same thing. Mixing it up is fun not permanent. Kids would liek it. I woudl like it. And secretly i think you would like it.
Do you hate the purple uni's too...are you one of those people.

one game down the road doing some type of alternate uniform, but let's be real clear about something. Don't ever, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER touch the helmet. There are some things you just don't do.
