You mean a bomb had never been dropped there? The times I rode by I thought it had been A-bombed. The surrounding area at least.

Maybe because Shaw doesn't have any "Bomber" aircraft. It's a tactical base not a strategic base.

You do realize the F-16C is capable of dropping of GBU, CBU, Mark, and even Nuclear Bombs right? You are correct in it's not categorized as Bomber wing, but it is in fact home to a fighter wing. I'm almost certain it's capable of completing what the original poster desires.

They don't have to be. They can strafe it, sense it is already full of holes. Not worth anything else. Would make a good gunnery range.
