Why do we leave Ben Boulware in on obvious passing downs?

Nov 13, 2016, 11:52 AM

I know he has great heart, has made countless big plays over the years, and is a leader but he is a huge liability plane and simple. He constantly gets in miss matches and is not athletic enough to adjust. Part of this is on the coaches for having him out of position but he just needs to be out of the game. Put another safety in just do something different. It baffles me how this continues to happen and no adjustments are made

And I'm tired of seeing him involved in every borderline dirty/late play....yesterday was a bad call but you knew he was involved.

I have been wondering this for weeks. He cannot cover plain and simple on obvious pass he should sit down. I think he love to get a flag because it means camera time for him. This post is not a knock on him and i love his toughness and passion. But i think next year we will be better on defense.

Hurting the team with your play and getting beat in coverage is a part of football but you can't then turn around and get in these sideline scuffles every week that cost your team with flags.

like i said earlier...coaches see it on tape make no changes***

Ben needs help

Nov 13, 2016, 12:09 PM

In covering situations not to be taken out of the game. I hoped Wiggins would be able to play and help Ben in pass coverages but apparently he isn't ready. Opposing coaches like to isolate Ben in one on one coverages and he has trouble with that. Not a knock on Ben that's a tough job for a LB

The coaches have to figure out a war to help him out if he is going to continue to play every down

This is not new it happened all last year. North Carolina, Alabama,Shamecocks, FSU just to name a few. That's why I was shocked when Shaq got the red shirt. Just not as noticeable last year with BJ playing beside him and Kearse playing closer to the line, but that led to a lot of the busted coverages. Plenty enough time to address that and the front 7 depth problem that was a big issue.

Because he is our best LB, maybe. Uh, when he sacked FSU's QB to end the game --was that an obvious passing down? Quit with your crap---we have this guy for just a few more games, let the coaches coach.
