is a story about one that "got it right".
Late in my game Friday there was a long pass downfield and the receiver's knee hit at the one foot line and he slid into the end zone. I immediately blew my whistle and marked the player down at the one foot line. The team scores on the next play and after the PAT the guy that runs footballs for said team is looking at pictures on the photographer's camera on the sideline. As he walks by me I asked "Well was he down?" and he looks at me and says "Yep, right where you marked the ball."

what do yall say to a line judge who throws his flag everytime another ref throws his?
For instance: Flag on the other side of the field 20 yards from LOS for PI. Back ref throws his flag. Line judge on the OTHER SIDE OF THE FIELD throws his flag. Call is PI. Guy picks up his flag and puts it up. Does this the remainder of the game.

You ever call a false start from the back judge position?
Heard about an umpire that called defensive encroachment without contact this past Friday. How can he see that from behind the defense?
