Why are so many punters from Australia?

It started with Saban and has been a trend for years. But why? If it was a byproduct of Rugby wouldn’t we see English punters?

More important than it is in American football. And I guess they use it as a way to come yo the USA and get an athletic scholarship since it is the closest equivalent sport

It's very difficult for punt returners in America to adjust to footballs punted by Australians because the ball rotates on its axis in the opposite direction from what they're used to.
