state’s rights? I just don’t get it.
Whether it be abortion, Covid rules, education, etc.; the states should be making the decisions. The decisions, (whether you agree or not) are more representative of the population, quicker to implement or change, and your local/state votes will mean something.
FYI: the leak is much worse than the decision or non-decision, for our future

I agree. Look at how bad black people have it in New York City and in Chicago, IL.
Their states have defunded the police (and so have the cities in those states) ... and now the blacks in the so-called 'black neighborhoods' are subjected to unimpeded crime.
Just awful.
But the good news is that people who suffer from the stupid policies of stupid states (e.g., black people in NY and Chicago, IL) can freely move out of those 'dumb states' and live safely in law and order states such as Texas, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Florida, Missouri, New Hampshire, etc. etc.

70% of Americans back abortion rights. This is not about state's rights, this is about enforcing a theocracy on the American people. Why not just let individual people decide if they want an abortion or not? That seems like freedom to me.

What science?
The majority of Americans don't want this overturned. The only people what want this are Republicans/Conservatives who are the most religious people in the country. This is absolutely about the religious right trying to force a theocracy upon America.

Thankful the Supreme Court doesn't (or shouldn't) rule in favor because the majority of Americans are in favor.

Yeah, it's great when 9 people get to decide to overrule the will of the American people.
Sounds like a totally free and democratic process.

The will of the American people can be represented within their own state of residence. It is not the job of the FED GOVT. Period.

70% from. From what I've read, it's high 40s pro-choice and pro-life.
But if it was 70%, they could go this route:
An amendment may be proposed by a two-thirds vote of both Houses of Congress, or, if two-thirds of the States request one, by a convention called for that purpose. The amendment must then be ratified by three-fourths of the State legislatures, or three-fourths of conventions called in each State for ratification.

The brilliance of States Rights
May 3, 2022, 5:27 PM

The brilliance of a Constitutional Republic, in which 50 separate States with the citizens of each state having so much say in their own state's laws, is that it provides 50 separate benchmarks for what works and for what doesn't work.
The 'dumb' states can then learn from the 'smart' states and make the adjustments.
The 'smart' states can then make tweaks / incremental improvements, and be reminded to avoid the stupid stuff that they see from the 'dumb' states.

The dumb states don’t seem capable of learning.

Not a problem; the people who don't like their 'dumb state' are free to move to any other state of their choosing.
No state laws and no federal laws preventing such movement.
This is why the Constitutional Republic model (with 50 different ongoing 'governmental 'experiments') is so profoundly brilliant.

idea of what everyone else should do. Just look at Covid, etc. They HATE, and I mean HATE the fact that some states were able to remain relatively free and disprove their insane "sky is falling" BS narrative simply by existing. It's not enough for them to be able to murder kids up until age 2, they have to impose that morality on the entire country for your own good!
