Whomever is giving advice to Justyn Ross

May 6, 2022, 6:40 PM

Needs to be fired… I love the kid but he never should’ve left early and he never should’ve picked the chiefs, their depth chart is insane… he will be lucky to be on the practice squad with Cornell. I hate seeing young kids getting terrible advice, I’m an idiot and can see this clear as day:

JuJu Smith-Schuster (FA signed)
Marquez Valdes-Scantling (FA signed)
Mecole Hardman (top returning WR)
Josh Gordon
Skyy Moore (2nd round pick this year)

But according to TigerNet, there were only 5 teams that had any interest and had vetted him. What if all 5 had a loaded WR room.

The only room more loaded in the NFL today is the Arizona Cardinals, KC is probably 2….. literally any other choice would have been better.

I totally agree he should have stayed another year to show that his recovery had brought him closer to his former capabilities, because his 2021 performance certainly did not. However, once he kissed Clemson goodbye, his options were certainly limited based on the information that has been released so far. We aren't even sure he received any other offers from the four NFL teams who showed some initial interest. The KC Chiefs may have been his best offer, and for all we know at this point, it may have been his only offer!

or he could beat any or all those guys with his skill and talent and be a starter. You have absolutely no idea where JRoss is as far as his abilities. He was sorely underused last year and probably still a bit gunshy. Now that he’s competing for money and a career he could absolutely win a job at KC with a decent qb throwing passes in his area code. We have all seen what he’s capable of.

All fair points, I just think he could get better advice to set him up for success.

When you are in his shoes, you take what you can get and hope he can hold on to passes.

It’s a win win for the chiefs but they have 3 guys on the roster that they have to pay a lot of money to not play… there is one spot “open”.
