Who we miss the most?

Oct 2, 2021, 11:24 PM

It would be easy to say we miss Amari Rodgers more than anyone from last year. A QB has to have a go to guy and we just don't have that guy this year yet. The break will do us a world of good.

Trevor.. That's not even a debate.***

I think the case can be made that we have never been the same since Hunter Renfrow graduated.

No...we miss Trevor the most...no doubt! The difference

Oct 2, 2021, 11:26 PM

between DJ and Trevor is unbelievable!

I was going with the wr's this year. We manage to miss them every conceivable way

For a comparison to the actual championship years, no doubt

to me what we miss is the relentless QB pressure from the Power Rangers front four. As good as our defense is this year, that element is still lacking. We didn't realize how unusual that kind of pressure was while we were seeing it, just took it for granted. We can sure tell the difference now.

DJ is having growing pains. His WRs are having growing pains. Gonna take time but by the end of the season the offensive team should be real good. Just gotta keep on slogging along. Go tigers.

Still, the D is only giving up 10.5 per game.

A strong consistent O-line.

Maybe coaches that truly care.

We need that.....but we don't have it.

DJ has been wretched, but I'm not sure this team has a good wr honestly. Trevor would struggle too, not like this, but he wouldn't have salvaged this hot mess

1. Trevor
2. Etienne
3. Amari and Cornell. No one on this roster is in the same stratosphere from a route running standpoint and we need someone like that BADLY.

Amari Rodgers…

Oct 2, 2021, 11:32 PM

He developed into DJU’s security blanket last year, someone DJ could trust to get open and catch the ball. Someone who DJU could depend on to be in the right spot at the right time. He’s missing that quick precise route runner this year.

He’s tried to establish that with J Ross, but Ross can’t get open quick enough for it to work. The coaches are sabotaging the offense to a certain extent by continuing to play tall less agile WRs at that slot position. I know Grisham makes that decision, although I think he’s being overridden by Dabo in this case, but we have to find a better option there. Ross is a boundary WR and can’t help us in the slot.

From last year? Powell and Trevor. From the past 5? The 2018 D-line and Renfrow. Man I miss Renfrow. Right now I'd just take a wideout who can seperate and a dozen fresh plays.
