What does that have to do with anything? UGA is the team to beat this year. It’s s valid goal to wanna beat them. Nothing to do with your favorite team in Columbia

At this point in time, I'll agree.
We're improving rapidly, however, and the first three games (and this will be the case with game 4 as well) have been good as far as us playing against a slightly better level of competition each week.
We've been able to use these 1st three games as our preseason, and we'll throttle WF next week (which will give the backups another game of meaningful experience). The right side of our O-Line is looking better, clearly improving. Same with Will Putnam at Center.
WRs are better; A.Williams already looks like the best WR on the team ... if A.Randall can shake off the rust and get his fixed-up knee warmed up all the way, then we have a chance to have 2 sho' nuff studs at WR to go along with a complement of veteran pretty-good WRs.
By November, our team will be good enough to play a tough game against UGA, and if any tough game the winner cannot be predicted with a high degree of certainty.

We would not have won it the 3rd or 4th game of the season either. We improved as the year went on and as you likely remember when dominated Alabama so bad we called off the dogs at the end of the game. I’m not saying we are or will be that good. I’m just saying your comment has little relevance.

Yeah, they are starting off hot and honestly, I wouldn't want Clemson to play them right now because we typically start slow as a team.
However, just because you start off hot doesn't mean you end that way. Same with teams that struggle in the beginning and turn into juggernauts in the end.
Championships are won in January -- not September. Let's have this discussion after Thanksgiving.

This team, which is markedly improved from last year in offense, gave UGA their second toughest game last year. And most people on here think we were awful last year. The transitive property does not apply in football. No one has any idea how we’d go against Georgia 3 or 4 months from now.

If we played jaja this weekend not likely but thank goodness we don't. We still have plenty of time to improve and in January it could easily be a different answer. Lets concentrate on Wake this weekend and take it one game at a time. GO TIGERS AND BEAT WAKE!!!

I agree with several of the comments. If we played this Saturday UGA would blow us out, but there’s a lot of football before the playoffs. We need to improve significantly in order to even make the playoff, much less beat a playoff caliber team.
UGA looks clearly like the best team now but injuries or lack of competition could derail them. Right now their schedule looks paper soft, with the possible exception of Kentucky and Tennessee. So it might come as a shock to them when the competition level goes way up against Alabama in the SEC championship game or in the playoff.
