Who realizes just how good our chances are next year?

We have a stellar QB, experienced O line with good, young talent backing them up.
Our RB corp looks solid and formidable.
Our athletes and WR corp is off the charts.
Our D is just a shade less than last year but equally as impressive.
Only wildcard is special teams.
We could go all the way this coming year.
GO TIGERS!

I think G. Tech will be the strongest team we could face.

I don't care where we play FSU at, they are loaded with talent and will be a tough team to beat next year also. Some for some reason that I don't understand why, have forgotten those top 5 recruiting classes they have had the past few years. Well, FSU didn't sell or trade any of those recruits, they are still at FSU and will be ready to compete next year. Just don't forget or overlook that FSU has been stock piling talent just as good and better than us in most positions on both sides of the ball. I do think we have better coaching, but you just can't overlook their talent. Its there, and it will be ready to compete next year. A couple years ago, we were expected to win and they crushed us!!!

FSU will need as good a QB and receiver as this year

If they are gonna outpace Watson and the Tigers on O. We had them this year and let them off the hook. I like our chances this year too. It won't be a lock for a win, but ga tech or Louisville will be a much tougher game.

GT game would have been ours had DW not got hurt. We get them at home this year and hopefully the injury bug is past us and we can get some pay back.

Hold on a minute. The D equally impressive?!!!

I KNOW we have a great season ahead, but the D cannot possibly be equal to 2014 after losing 90% of the starting lineup. I believe Venables is good, but a little slack off is inevitable.

I dont think he said "equally". Our defense has the chance to be ALMOST as good as last year. Beasley replaced by Lawson. Anthony replaced by Boulware (worked out good in the bowl game). Jarrett replaced by Reader. The secondary will be solid as well. The advantage we have is a defensive coaching staff that is on the same page. Will we be #1 in defense again? Doubt it, but our offense should be improved and that plays into the hands of a defense that can be good. Teams always having to play catch up tends to make mistakes.

He'll have a head coaching position at a major school waiting on him. We lose everyone. Good talent behind them? Yes. But its a huge project.

It is not as big of a project as you might think. He has it rolling now. The culture, the system, and the attitude.

For example, I am fully expecting to see at least 1 person say if we go 1-11 and beat the coots, it is a successful year. Lol.
So far, I am a little amazed at how low the expectations seem to be actually. I mean I totally get it because no one likes to get their hopes too high and then be let down, but we all know what we are thinking internally even though we don't really like to acknowledge it on this board due to fear we might jinx it or something.
In all the years since the glorious 80s, I cannot help but admit that it finally feels like it did back then in terms of confidence and pride about our chances on the big stage. This past year, we had holes and a lot of unknowns, so it was a wait and see situation. That is not the case this coming year.
AND even more help is on the way! Everyone is pulling in the same direction. Everyone has each other's back. Everyone doesn't want to let their teammates down. Great, great things happen when you get all of that mojo working in your favor with the talent assembled.
People go the extra mile in working out and in preparation. They are on fire with the bug. The passion is burning.
I am telling you, if we don't make the playoffs and get to the final game, I for one will be very disappointed. Not "fire some folks" disappointed, but bummed that we missed a golden opportunity.
While I would like to delude myself into having lower expectations, the reality is the reality. That is my heartfelt expectation with realism being we lose just 1 game along the way.
DISCLAIMER: if DW gets injured and can't play, then my expectations will get dialed down big time.

I think the next several years will be as good as we have had, but I am looking to 2016 as being the year we peak with the talent we know of. Next year's season may prove as good or better than the next few, but I think our team will be better year after next due to talent development.
