a tad more classy.
Gasso also put in her senior pitcher for the last couple of outs (she gave up a 3 run homer...oops). Oklahoma dominated softball the whole year, they were fun to watch.

May not see another team that dominate for a while. We're getting there. Just need a couple good hitters. Maybe get that ok st gal that entered the portal. Good utility player.

Most dominant hitter you will ever see at any level of play--well, you would have. Now you have to catch up by watching YouTube.
Not only did she set a new NCAA record for career HRs (NCAA actually has capped the schedules so she did it in fewer games), she reached base safely like 16 out of her final 17 plate appearances in the Semis and Finals.
In a sport still dominated by great pitching, she is unreal. The hitters are catching up, and the young woman batting behind her actually had more RBIs.
OU was so dominant this year that they might have won the WCWS even if Alo didn't play.

They have made it to the Supers every year since 2010.
They lost in the Supers in 2010 and 2015.
They lost in the early rounds of the WCWS in 2011, 2014 and 2018.
They lost in the Championship in 2012 and 2019 (a definite upset.)
They won it all in 2013, 2016, 2017, 2021 and 2022--5 of the last 9 tournaments (remember there was no tournament in 2020, or it probably would be 6 of 10.)
They did lose 1 game to UCLA in the semifinals this year (only their 3rd loss of the year.) 30 minutes later in the decisive game, OU smoked the Bruins 15-0 in 5 innings.
They won over half their games in 5 innings, even over ranked opponents. They went 59-3 on the season, which isn't the best record ever, but it's arguably the best of this more competitive era.
So to answer the question, "how many years have they dominated"? They have been the dominant team for a decade, and became more dominant when Alo joined the team. The margin has only increased as she matured.
To be sure, OU's dominance was helped by the free transfers allowed by the NCAA in softball. As good as they were, they picked up significant contributions from top players transferring in (as many top programs do.)
