Why is it such a big deal? Personally, I'd love a mask mandate for any indoor event or public place forever. It's like taking shoes off in Japan. Eventually it's just a part of life. Think how much we'd all save on healthcare and meds.

For instance, Stacey Abrams fat ### won’t wear a mask yet she made those cute kids put one on.

Wearing rubber gloves would help, as well. Maybe add some safety glasses and a Tyvek suit. There is a cost/benefit for everything. I'm afraid mine ends at shirt, pants, and shoes for a basketball game.

Feel free to self mandate as no one is stopping from wearing g a mask 24/7. I have traveled Asia extensively and is not unusual to see random people wearing a mask. Personally I despise the mask wearing and would hate a mandate but to each his own

Why is it such a big deal? Because they do not work against the spread of Covid, especially Omicron. It’s theatre. A delusion of safety.
And even if they did work it’s still ridiculous to have a mask mandate. If you want to wear one, great, but why would you care if someone else wore one? If the mask actually works, then you’re not going to get sick.

Im not a crazy lib, not a crazy anti-vaxxer as I had both my vax but didn't have booster!
Then few day before Christmas I got sick, head, sinus, chest cold or flu but lots of phlegm, we assumed it was Omicron but kept testing negative. So 3wks into cold I get exposed to and tested positive Covid. I had to use one of my 9 lives because I just about kicked the bucket. 10 days of fever, 3 days of 104+, double lung pnuemonia, and oxygen in upper 60's, they tried to ventilator but I wouldn't let them . Still on Ivermectin, inhaler, antibiotics, mucinex, steroids, and pretty sure I would have croaked if i did not vax!!
I still here fellow Tiger Fans!

I’m glad you’re ok. Sounds like you had a really rough go of it. But I have to ask something. I have a friend who spent 3 weeks in the hospital with Covid. Much if that time he was on the ventilator. He said the same thing you said. He told me “If I had not had those 3 shots I wouldn’t have made it”. I’m not trying to be a jerk , I swear it. I’m just trying to understand what good the shots did? Sounds like you and my friend were knocking on deaths door.

The shots give you the T1 cells that fight the disease. If you don't have the head start in your system to start fighting the virus then your body may not have the cells educated enough to battle the new disease. The vax educates your immune system on how to create T1 cells that have an effective start to defensively fight the virus. If my body had never been exposed then very likely I would have lost the battl5.

However, it is way more likely to end up in the hospital, if you're not vaccinated! I lost a 60 year old cousin last summer, who wasn't vaxxed. His last words were, "Please everyone, please get vaccinated."

Glad that you are feeling better. I am a big supporter of most adults getting the vax (I have both shots and the booster), but I am also a big supporter of everybody having the choice not to. Good luck in your continued recovery.

AFRAID OUR BELOVED CLEMSON HAS GONE WOKE. HOPE THEY CAN GET IT FIXED BEFORE THEY LOSE A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE SUPPORTED THEM FOR MANY YEARS. 40 PLUS YEARS FOR ME FINANCIALLY AND 60 YEARS OF SUPPORT.
