would someone please explain to me two things....

Nov 20, 2012, 1:12 PM

1. How can maryland leaving the ACC all of a sudden make such a splash? You would think FSU just left!

2. How can Maryland leaving the ACC get more attention than CHICKEN KICKIN'?????

ITS MARYLAND!

Maybe i'm missing something but i don't get it.

I would love to see WVA, ND, and PS.

I'm sure WVA is ready to get back closer to home.
If not WVA, Louisville!

We need to split divisions up North and South so teams can always play every team in their geograpical area.

NOW LETS GO KICK THE CHICKEN AND SEE WHO ELSES SEC BUTTS WE GET IN BCS BOWL. I WANT FLORIDA!

It's not about Maryland leaving. It's about who will replace them. Another bball school is a problem. I believe this is the start of the end of the ACC.

John Feinstein seems to think that Maryland leaving re-opens the door for FSU and us to leave. And per his comments, the $EC shares an interest in our joining their illustrious conference.

^^there is your answer^^

if they leave we are Boise of the East.

The same conference an undefeated Auburn team DIDN'T play

So do you persoanlly feel the door is reopened for FSU and CU to look at other options?

Are your saying and agreeing with John F. that the SEC has interest in FSU and Clemson?

I think the big 12 comes calling for fsu and clemson***

Here's the problem

Nov 20, 2012, 1:19 PM

1. There was dissent within the ACC, especially among football schools... that is a fact.

2. Swoffy landed ND as a partial, and said the conference was solid. The exit fee goes to 50 mil.

3. There is a huge respect issue in the ACC right now (football wise). Just look at the rankings.

4. There is a huge financial gap between the ACC and other four power conferences. Again, look at Bowl money and TV money.

5. Now UMD, leaves AFTER the exit fee was raised. AFTER. You don't think that's significant. You don't think that showed FSU it can be done?

6. So, if you're an ACC football school who is concerned with these issues, you think the addition of UL will make you sit back and say... "well, UMD did it, but we are happy now".

"I've been working since I was 15 continually until now. I worked 40 hours a week at 15, when it wasn't even legal for 15 year olds to work that many hours."

Here is the thing....

Nov 20, 2012, 1:20 PM

Maryland, who is literally hemmoraging money right now, is willing to pay $50 million to get out.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

I agree

Md leaving after getting taken to the woodshed by us: It's like a drop of water just fell in the Atlantic Ocean.

We have biggest game in decades coming up.
