Who decided it was a good idea to present the Master's winner

Apr 10, 2022, 7:21 PM

the green jacket, hidden inside Butler cabin, instead of in front of the thousands in attendance. That seems like a dumb idea to me!

There is a public ceremony next to clubhouse

After the ceremony in the Butler Cabin

You change it to your liking when you are running things there

For sure. Augusta National is going to do things THEIR way.

Which is just about the best run golf tournament in the world. I still remember the shock and awe the first time I ever set foot on the grounds back in 1984. It looked, and still does look, like the world's most perfectly manicured garden.

What are you 12? New to the game I see. Do some research

I'm not "new to the game"! They only started doing this in

Apr 10, 2022, 9:15 PM

the mid sixties, but I find nothing about "why" they do this! I equate it to presenting the NCAA basketball championship trophy in the winners dressing room, instead of on the court!

They do things different than the norm, that is why it's one of the greatest sporting events in the world.

Their goal is to be the number one sporting venue in the world and I think they are sure at or near it. It is all about the experience of their "patrons". That is why they do not try and fleece them for refreshments or anything related to the tournament.

It is, without a doubt, the most attractive golf course on the tour. 2nd place is not close.
