Who believes we beat wake?

My heart believes we beat wake! My brain wonders how I think we need to score in the 40s to beat wake. Or play keep away and limit wakes possessions. Maybe we speed the game up and Shipley and pace has a big game. Honestly I think if Taisun can throw you start Taisun. To add to our rushing attack with Shipley pace and Maffah. Have a bunch of 10-15 play drives that take chunks of time off the clock. If Dj mobility is limited due to his knee I say start Taisun.

Agree. Hopefully we get some healthy bodies back. Really think we could utilize Allen even more and briningstool.

It looks like we are down to the Collins freshmen, and Williams at receiver. Allen and Briningstool at TE. Ajou hardly played yesterday, so it seems they’ve given up on him getting better at the blocking aspects. Elliott has a lot of work to do figuring out a gameplan. I wish the Oline could finally perform well enough to give the RBs a chance even if they overload the box. It is hard to see how they can put together time consuming drives.

we proceeded to become one of the top two teams in the playoff era. That doesn't happen unless you know how to gameplan and adjust, and after 6 years of proven capability to do so Tony didn't suddnly forget how to do it.
The issue this year has been executing the game plan. Having a QB play well and manage the game, and having an oline who can block have been the primary issues keeping our offense from rolling, not playcalling or gameplans.
There is no offensive gameplan, strategy, or adjustments you can make when the QB struggles to operate and when an OL can't move the defense.

I can’t explain it because our offense is so embarrassingly awful but for some reason I do. Don’t see how. Maybe we kick 6 field goals and score on defense to win 25-24. Either way I’ll be there cheering us on. Been an exhausting team.

The way to beat a fitness team is to hit them hard and play physical. Our defense does that, so should be a fun matchup. I think we will probably only need 28-34 to win, that should be enough drives to keep our defense fresh enough to close them out.

If Wake scores 24 or more points we lose. We haven't scored 40 points in any game that mattered in the eyes of the polls. Six of our games have been decided by a touch down or less and we are 3-3 in those games.
And while we are on the matter, how many 10 to 15 play drives have we actually had this season( outside of the 2 blow-outs)?

You can't really believe this team, THIS TEAM, can beat Wake, do you?? Our defense has been CFP caliber this year and our offense anemic. Just sad we wasted such a great D this year.

I don’t unfortunately. Wake is better and has more to play for and our offense is embarrassing. This could be the uncorking some have been waiting for. Wake can go back and watch the SC State film and learn all it needs to know about Elliott’s anemic, predictable offense.

After watching wake last night I think we win. Hartman struggled last night against nc state. He threw 3 picks. Was only 21-47 or something like that. There line had some trouble blocking. And this was all at home. Lucky for them nc state turned the ball over more. Our d should be better than state. And we play them at home. If we don’t turn the ball over more than once we win.

Isn't it predictable not because of Tony but because of DJs limitations. The play book has been dumbed down. So much so that now he only has one read on designed pass plays. If the receiver isn't open then he throws it away. No second option. No running it fir a 5 yard gain. Agree?

I think it will be a close game in the 28 to 35 range. Their defense is as bad as our offense but I think we can get 28 to 35 this game. Ideally with ball control. It is at home and the crowd will have a meaningful game. Tigers get the W 33-27. 4 Potter field goals.

All our offensive points come from the kick formation.
Wake scores 4 TDs on pick 6s. After Tigers fumble a snap trying to take knee to run clock out, defense holds Wake on half yard line as time runs out.
In post game presser, both Dabo and TE say they will be putting in more fake FG plays for the Coot game _ since it’s our most consistent threat.

I think we can both agree however that Brad needs to win a tournament game or be let go. He has everything he needs to be successful, and two tournament wins in 11 years is completely unacceptable for a man making $2.6M.
We have gotten better in football or we'd never have 7 wins. This team could have quit, but coaching is pushing and prodding our way. And Swinney never said we have spoiled fans with unrealistic expectations.
Please try to contain yourself from relishing in struggles of our football program. The struggles in no way, shape, or form take pressure away from Brad and his program.

With the game at Clemson, yes Clemson can beat them. Clemson needs to see DJ, Shipley, and Pace get healthy and the defense hold them to about half of what they usually score.

I do, I think we win a close one at home. I also think wake it will go to a freezing cold Boston and get beat there too. Then NC State will lose to North Carolina, they always lose to North Carolina. Clemson is the ACC Atlantic champions. We go on to win the ACC championship over a rematch with pit. Then go to the Orange bowl and play Ohio State, then shock the world by beating Ohio State, Finish 11 and three and ranked in the top 10

We should win. We have twice the talent. Our D will do it's job, but it can't pitch a shutout. Offense will have to score at least 28 and keep wake off field enough to rest D. I guess we won't give up any kick off returns against them.

They’re averaging 44 a game, the defense will probably hold them to half of that, as they have this season. They are giving up 29 and we are averaging 24 a game on offense. So, it isn’t unreasonable to see a 27-24 Clemson win.
